Jang Su Jang in Alpharetta, right next to the Hamilton Hotel, was a wonderful experience. The grilled mackerel was moist, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. It was tasty, delicious, and honestly one of the standout dishes of the meal. The bibimbap was amazing as well, fresh, satisfying, and packed with great flavor in every bite. The pork cutlet was also excellent, crispy, flavorful, and packaged nicely. Everything was prepared with care, and the quality really showed. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you are in the area and craving great Korean food.

Our family has mostly visited Jang Su Jang in Duluth, so this was our first time trying the Alpharetta location. When we used to go to the Duluth Jang Su Jang nearly ten years ago, it was mainly for comforting dishes like Soondoobu, something very affordable and casual.
The Alpharetta Jang Su Jang felt quite different. It’s located inside a hotel, and the atmosphere is much more upscale. Because of that, the prices are not cheap, and the overall vibe is more polished than what we were used to. It truly felt like a different version of Jang Su Jang.
The food was very good, and the service was also excellent. Everything was well prepared, and the staff was attentive. However, as Korean visitors coming from out of state, it felt a bit distant from the Korean community, which makes it less likely for us to return regularly.
That said, it’s definitely worth visiting at least once, especially if you’re looking for a more elegant Korean dining experience in Alpharetta.

This restaurant has a very warm vibe and I found my new fav Korean spot, the service is on point.
I ordered Rice cakes with Fish and shrimp, it was spot on.
They also have variety of condiments which are so tasty.

A must visit!

First time at this location, and it’s just as good as the original in Duluth.

The interior feels modern but still has that Korean restaurant vibe—big screen playing K-pop MVs and all.

I went with the classic combo: tofu soup with BBQ short rib, which never disappoints. The seafood pancake was solid as always, and the pork belly with all the banchan was also very good.

Definitely would go back if I visit downtown Alpharetta

We have been here several times, and food and service have always been great. Our favorite dishes here are stir fried squid, beef short ribs, and seafood noodle soup. They serve great mixed rice in a clay pot and grilled mackerel as well. Very friendly service. Highly recommended for authenticity and excellent taste.

This Korean restaurant has a welcoming and modern atmosphere that I initially appreciated. However, after multiple visits, I’ve lowered my rating by two star. Many dishes appear to have been prepared too far in advance, and the quality doesn’t justify the prices. Parking is also consistently problematic. While I understand the restaurant is located in downtown Alpharetta, customers shouldn’t have to bear the burden of these ongoing issues.

The food was served quickly, and it was just as good as every time I’ve visited.
The only downside is that the location makes parking a bit hard to find.

This location is a modern, elevated take on their cozy Duluth spot — and it’s just as excellent. The food was full of flavor and beautifully prepared, with a great selection of classic Korean dishes. The service was attentive and kind, and the interior is thoughtfully designed, blending stylish modern elements with meaningful nods to traditional Korean culture. It’s a perfect place for a date, a get-together with friends, or a relaxed lunch with adult family members.

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time today and was deeply disappointed. I paid $24.77 for a bibimbap, expecting a full adult-sized meal for my son. When I arrived home and opened the container, I was surprised to find what looked more like a sampler—just a spoonful or two of meat and minimal vegetables. There was no mention on the menu that this was a reduced portion or kid-sized dish. For the price, this felt completely unreasonable and caused a real inconvenience, as I had to go elsewhere to buy a proper meal. The presentation was fine, but the value simply wasn’t there. I’d love to return, but only if value and clarity improve.

Stumbled upon Jang Su Jang the other day and decided to try it out for date night this weekend!

Food: For our appetizer, we got the Spicy Rice Cakes and it was delicious. It comes with rice cakes, flat fish cakes, a red curry, a shrimp tempura skewer, pot stickers, and some noodles all the way at the bottom. This dish was so good! I was extremely impressed with the flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Teriyaki (best Chicken Teriyaki I’ve ever had) and it came with a bunch of sides. We tried each one and they were all also very tasty. I especially liked the noodles and potatoes that came as a side. We also got a soup with the Chicken Teriyaki and it was phenomenal. For my entrée, I ordered the Yookgejang Kalguksoo (spicy beef soup with hand cut noodles). Out of everything we ordered, this was our least favorite dish of the night, but it was still good! For dessert, we got the Choco Temptation and it was a super light-weight, hazelnut and chocolate cream cake with a thin wafer in it. It was SO delicious! Highly recommend ordering it if you have a sweet tooth and room for dessert. The portion sizes are also very generous, so come hungry or prepare take a lot of food to go!

Service: The service was probably the biggest letdown of the night. It seemed like they were understaffed, so we were not too bothered by the long wait times, but we did not love how rushed everything was when they did come to our table. At the very end of dinner we asked for boxes for our leftovers and the waitress was very rushed with pouring in our leftovers into the box and spilled a lot of it onto the table and all over the box. Instead of giving us a new box for our food, she sloppily wiped it (there were many food stains all over the outside of the box) and walked away. I was a little grossed out by this experience and wish we could have gotten a new clean box since we still had to touch it to put it in the bag and she had used our napkins to wipe up the table. This was a bummer because the food definitely deserves 5 stars.

Atmosphere: Cute simple interior. Jang Su Jang is very spacious which I liked because I didn’t feel like we were too close to any other tables. They were playing football on one of the walls in the restaurant which I felt took away from the elegance of the restaurant a little bit (didn’t really match the vibe haha) but I like watching football so I didn’t mind.
