Not Wheelchair Friendly

I am the first to admit when I am wrong, and after my initial post, I went back to Potbelly to confirm what I thought was true. Having dealt with ADA suits before, I found it hard to believe they would not be in compliance. Yes, there is a lift.

When I returned alone, I wondered, “How did we miss that?”

The answer is simple: in the moment, with my back to the small, unmarked lift door, my wife and I were fully focused on my sister’s safety. She is unsteady even with a walker, and making sure she didn’t fall was our top priority.

Potbelly is ADA compliant in the strict legal sense. But it is not wheelchair friendly: handicapped parking is located 125–150 feet away at the far end of the building, there are no curb cuts near the storefront, and the lift is not clearly marked with the wheelchair ♿ symbol.

I could have just taken my original review down. But that would have been wrong. I made a mistake, and I will own up to it. What matters most to me is earning your trust as a fair and balanced reviewer — and that means owning it when I was wrong.

I have been a regular customer for Pot Belly for over 20 years.
Today I visited the Thsons Corner branch, it took me 3 minutes to get there and it took me 30 minutes to get my sandwich. Terrible staff except “Top” whonis the only one who know hat he is doing, the others are useless, they don’t kno2 how to read the orders on the screen, so they end up mixing online and mobile orders with walk-in orders in a chaotic order. Even my sandwich that I ordered hundred times was not made well. I promise this is my last time.

[Do not come here!] Extremely unorganized staff and sandwiches that are literally 80% bread 20% toppings. Literally no one there gives a crap about what they’re doing. Literally go to the pho place in the same building, so much better.

Used to love going here on Saturdays with my boyfriend, but recently there has been a very rude manager Casey that I’ve had some interactions with, the past two times I went there she wasn’t doing anything and made the other two workers do everything for her. This is very sad to see as I used to love coming here, Marquel and Wes the other workers always made my day and great sandwiches!!

Just tried to order online lunch for the Tysons location for our office with 13 orders total. The online cart rejected the order! Had to send someone to wait in line at the Tyson’s Corner restaurant and hopefully will be able to get our office order in. We will never use Potbelly again.

One of my favorite sandwhich places. Great location and friendly staff as well. I love these sandwhiches and they are delicious and made with fresh, high quality ingredients. The hot peppers here are the BEST, and you can buy them in jars to take home. They are quick here and this is a great place to grab lunch in Tysons. Also any time I have had an issue at this location they resolved it right away. Great sandwhiches and company.

Had the prime rib sub—one of the tastiest I’ve tasted; Thr Briccoli & Cheddar soup—-the worst that I’ve ever tasted. It didn’t seem fresh and tasted floury. The staff members were not friendly and not very accomodating. Having said that, I usually don’t care about service unless the staff come off as rude; they weren’t. I wish Potbelly offered more variety with soups.

Potbelly is my favorite sandwich shop. I always order the chicken and cheddar on white with bacon mayo and lettuce. The service is fast, and the employees are kind. I’m also a fan of the broccoli cheddar soup, but today I’m trying the chicken pot pie soup. Good drink selection. They also have tasty desserts like cookies and brownies. A bit pricey, but way better than Subway or Quiznos.

We frequent this potbelly often because it is clean efficient and the food is delicious; the manager there is extremely community-oriented and even offered us a small reward on my husband’s birthday as potbelly is his favorite
