China Wok is an excellent take out restaurant with fresh, made to-order dishes. The orange chicken is one of the best I’ve ever had flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served in generous portions. The shrimp lo mein is also very tasty and well prepared. While there is no dine in option, their to go service is quick and convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality Chinese food with great portion sizes

I recently visited China Wok at 1650 Gretna Blvd, St.1 in Harvey, LA, and I can honestly say it was a five-star experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in I was greeted warmly, and the place was clean, comfortable, and inviting just what you want when you’re about to enjoy some great food.
The menu offers a fantastic variety and everything I tried was outstanding. The Egg Rolls were perfectly crisp and flavorful. The General Tso’s Chicken was a standout tender, juicy pieces bathed in an amazing sauce that struck the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and a little kick. The Fried Rice was just amazing, just the way I like it. I also ate their Lo Mein which had great texture and depth, and the Hot & Sour Soup was excellent.

Looks can be deceiving, but this is the best orange chicken I’ve ever eaten. If you love vegetables, then just roll right on in! Other items on the menu were also very tasty and met satisfaction!

My honest Review:
I been here for such a long time, I always go to this specific restaurant that serve Chinese food. Their services is wonderful and the food comes out quickly. I almost come everyday just to eat their food. If you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant to have a meal, I would recommend to come and trying this place out. I promise you won’t regret it.

The Faded Christmas decorations still stuck to the front door 4 months later should have been my first sign.. then when you go in the place looks damn near abandoned and the signage looks like it has been there for 20 years… and the food confirmed my fears…it was terrible I’m hoping I don’t get sick. From out of town so I don’t have time to stop back by ….just a lesson learned don’t eat there again next time I’m in town. And their prices were too high
And thinking back on it the black curtains hung so you can’t see into the kitchen also should have been a red flag

My husband ordered the spicy beef and pork fried rice combo. He got stir fried vegetables and plain fried rice. I ordered the shrimp and pork fried rice with an egg roll. The fried rice didn’t really have any meat and the egg roll was small, but the shrimp was good. It would’ve been good if there was actually meat in the dishes.

Kind of a hole in the wall spot, but the food was good. I had the sweet n sour chicken. It was the battered fried chicken nuggets with the orange colored sauce, not the fried chicken thighs cut into pieces with the red sauce that I prefer.
My wife had the schezsuan beef…I wanted that after tasting hers .
Overall, we enjoyed the food, and there was easily enough on the plate for 3 meals…and I can eat a lot!

Wow. The food quailty is horrific! Slithers of green onion and that is the vegies! A slither of meat, 3.50 for a thumb size spring roll with nothing but cabbage and a PIECE of shrimp. No crab in the crab ragoon. The staff was is rude as I placed the order. It is just bad bad bad bad. Go somewhere else!

Order here before anywhere else on the West Bank. We ordered pickup and everything we tried was amazing. We got the general tso, which was perfectly spiced and tasty. Fried rice was good. Orange chicken w/veggies was great. Not super crispy as it came in Styrofoam, but still excellent tasting and breading stayed on the chicken. It also came with an eggroll thay was very tasty/crispy. Crab Rangoons were perfect. On a whim we also got bbq chicken wings and fries. The fries were a little soggy bc of the styrofoam packaging but that was to be expected. The wings however… omg so good! Still crispy and flavor was on point. Great bbq sauce, nothing like your standard store bought flavor. Good prices, HUGE portions.
It’s not really a dine-in place, there was maybe one table. But aside from that, this will be our new go-to for Chinese food!
