Love the vibe honestly. If you’re intimidated by the location or cuisine, don’t be!! The entree flavors are very approachable and the owner (Chorong) is super duper friendly. We learned this family business as been here for nearly 30 years! Nice and quaint lil spot!

Vegetable pancake is seriously delicious—a must get in my opinion. Fried dumplings are also great.

We loved this place. The atmosphere was great and I like hearing the eomoeni from time to time coming from the kitchen. Our food was superb and the service was great. I really need to go back

The owner(s) prepares food with only 1 and 1 server, which is a lot to handle between 2-3 people at all times. However, they always like to converse with the customers, and make you feel like you are experiencing a family-style meal that they have prepared as if the customer experience were like South Korea. The food is exceptional and I have returned numerous times trying different items every time off of the menu. There are no takeout menus, the owners will not take any customers within 1 hour of closing, the customers are not allowed to take half-eaten soup in to-go containers, but everything is done with the upmost respect for the customer. Bring a couple friends of family, inviting large groups of people will not be possible for the establishment.

Known for its well-balanced bibimbap, tender Korean BBQ, and delicious side dishes like kimchi and pickled vegetables, this restaurant provides a true taste of Korean comfort food. Our very first visit. Went on a friend’s recommendation. Absolutely the BEST Korean food I’ve had outside of Korea. The Juljeongmun was perfect. The kimchi was cold, crisp and perfectly spiced. The kimbop and vegetable pancake were a delicious introduction for my wife and daughter to Korean food. The kalbi was great as well. The staff were friendly and attentive. The place is small but clean. We will definitely be return visitors

Perfect little hole in the wall. So we had ordered from here a few times via DoorDash. Every time everything was perfectly made.

When we came to sit down however that’s where it got solidified as a go to every time we are here. Firstly the kimchi is on point. The bean sprouts and seaweed salad are great compliments to the fried rice. Service was very fast and super friendly.

The beef fried rice is always flavorful and perfectly made. The fried egg was over medium with the right amount of jelly yolk.

The kimchi fried rice: more please. The flavor is rich in a pleasing way and isn’t too strong. Pairs very well with the bean sprouts.

This is a go to dinner spot for sure when we have time to sit down and relax. If you’re in the area and have some time sit down and enjoy. Also the Duk-Bok-Ki is fantastic as well.

It’s a cute cozy spot with wonderful service and delicious food. They only have like 5 or so tables with 4-6 seats so I wouldn’t go there with big groups. Food came out quick and it was very delicious. Prices were reasonable with nice portion. I definitely want to go back and try the other items on the menu. The server was very nice and friendly.

Edit (10/2023): I finally made it back to Chorong House and it’s still really good. It makes me regret not making the effort to come back sooner. The woman who runs the restaurant is still one of the kindest people I’ve met at any place I’ve eaten. The menu has also been updated since the last time I ate here in December 2022.

Original (12/2022): I don’t know how I’d never heard of this place before tonight, but it’s very good. Both the appetizers and main dishes we got were great. The woman who greeted us at the door after coming in from the snow storm was very kind as well. I look forward to coming back in the future and trying the jajangmyeon as it’s one of my favorite dishes.

To-go for Korean food. I came here around 4:30pm. The restaurant is small and wasn’t busy. The parking lot is a bit strange. There are 2 doors to go inside: front and side. I got Dak Kal Bi and Den Jang Chigae. They tasted good, and very spicy. The kimchi I got as side dish is quite small compared to other restaurant I’ve been to. And wish there were more pork in Den Jang Chigae. Price is a bit higher as well. Staff was friendly
