Tucked away near Matalino street, I was surprised about this restaurant!

Food and taste wise, I really liked the charred squid, pad Thai, and mango sticky rice! The charred squid salad had a lovely balance of flavors from smooth, sour, and spicy, while still being able to taste the squid. Pad Thai was generous in servings and veggies; it was good for my specific taste buds. The mangoes in the mango sticky rice were a bit sour but it complemented the sweetness of the sticky rice.

Price wise, it was fairly given the servings.

Atmosphere was cozy and chic, perfect for a nice catch up.

Service was good too; the front of house team and their manager asked if we needed anything or if we were alright.

The parking at front was quite full though! So it was a bit difficult to get in the restaurant itself.

Thai Food in QC Circle.

We had a meeting in QC and decided to try Muang Thai for lunch.
GOOD:
1. Tom Yum Talay was flavorful and serving was good for our 6 pax. Our guest requested to lessen the spicy taste so they gave a Tom Yum sauce on the side for individual adjustments. Good job.

2. Bagoong fried rice also came in generous serving and tasted really good. The green mango slivers gave a good tangy contrast to the salty umami of the bagoong.
3. Pandan chicken also came in big chucks and chicken pieces were moist and juicy!
4. Servers were polite and quick to serve.
COULD BE IMPROVED:
1. Oue other fried rice had a noticeable margarine taste which could be reduced.
2. Pad thai was a failure. It was very – very sweet so we ended up not eating it and just had it wrapped. It is a pity since the ingredients were fresh and abundant. Please temper the sweetness asap!

Jan 2026: I found myself quite disappointed with the food there. Thai cuisine is known for its vibrant balance of spicy, sweet, sour, and salty flavors, but unfortunately, this place’s offerings felt quite one-dimensional. The pomelo salad lacked excitement, missing essential ingredients like lime, salt, and chilies, leaving it bland. The pandan chicken was only okay, and the pork belly with red curry failed to deliver heat—despite asking for chili powder, it had little impact. The Thai fried rice was overly greasy, detracting from the experience. The one dish that stood out and I would recommend is the fresh-tasting spring rolls, thanks to the crisp vegetables. Overall, a disappointing experience, with only a few highlights.

The Khao Soi (fried egg noodles with green curry sauce and shrimps, chicken tofu and bean sprouts) is good sharing for 2-3 person. Its tasty and satisfying. The Pad Kra Pao Gai (chicken and basil with oyster sauce) was good and perfectly paired with Khao Kluk Kapi (shrimp paste rice with pork bits and green mango slices.

Craving authentic Thai cuisine in Metro Manila? This is definitely the place to be! I absolutely loved their Pad Thai! So flavorful and satisfying. Prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the place itself is cozy and comfortable. Definitely worth a try!

We ordered a soup, three mains, a fried rice, and mango sticky rice. Out of the three mains, two were excellent—flavorful and well-prepared. The third was decent but didn’t stand out as much. The fried rice had a noticeable margarine taste, which made it slightly sweet; not a dealbreaker, but something to note.

The soup itself was great—rich and satisfying—but the service could’ve been better, as the server didn’t go the extra mile to serve it into individual bowls, which would’ve added a nice touch.

The mango sticky rice was a pleasant finish to the meal, with ripe mango and nicely cooked sticky rice.

Overall, the restaurant delivers authentic Thai food tasting meals. Recommend.

haven’t been here in years, so this was a welcome surprise to visit with friends again. i think the quality of the food has changed since but it’s still a worthwhile visit. the food is still tasty and cooked well.

what we ordered were as follows for 3 pax:
• hor mok
• spring rolls
• pineapple fried rice — which could be served in sizes, the bigger portion is family good for 4. there’s definitely lots of leftover. idk what i was expecting, but i guess a more prominent pineapple flavor. though this wasn’t bad and tasted more floral than i expected
• grilled chicken pandan
• grilled chicken — which is served with your choice of curry: green, red, or panang. we chose panang for its nuttier taste.

the place is much bigger than i remember and the menu is even more extensive. still appreciate it and would come back!

This Thai Restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with delicious food and a lovely ambiance. The dishes are flavorful and well-prepared; However, it’s worth noting that the spice level has been significantly toned down, likely catering to the Filipino palate. While the food is enjoyable, those seeking an authentic, Thai experience might be slightly disappointed. The sweetness prevalent in Filipino cuisine seems to have influenced the flavor profile here.

On the plus side, the restaurant is impeccably clean and offers numerous Instagram-worthy spots. The service is excellent, with attentive and friendly waiters. A minor drawback is the limited parking, so arriving early or considering alternative transportation might be advisable. Overall, Muang Thai is a great choice for a tasty meal in a beautiful setting, just be prepared for a milder take on Thai flavors.

️Food 4.5/5
Food may not taste the most authentic but it was still great Sulit for the price. The size portions are for sharing. I would say 1 main is for at least 2 people so, at the end, we ended up having most of our orders taken out.

Standout Dishes: Pork Ribs, Satay Platter and Mango Sticky Rice
Dishes to Work on: Pineapple Fried Rice (too buttery and lacks flavor)

‍♀️Service 4.5/5
Service was pretty great. They were attentive and quick to respond. Their response though wasnt always correct. I asked for hot water refill — they got my glass but never returned with my refill. I asked for hot water again but they gave me cold water. Although you can take my comment with a grain of salt as they were fully booked that day. There was a function happening upstairs and they were fully booked for restaurant service itself.

Design Layout 4.5/5
Very clean and spacious. My only comment would be the doors they use for the bathroom. I dislike the fact it’s not a handle or knob. It’s very misleading since it’s an one cubicle restroom per gender.

✅ Overall; TLDR 4.5/5
Solid food especially with the portions. Service was overall great with minor issues. Design layout was cute but could still be improve

Plus points: The restaurant has 2nd floor where you can hold events with over 60 people. There’s even a balcony.
