Wow truly a diamond in the rough. Friends took us there and the food was outstanding. One of the specials was Bourbon glazed salmon it’s was to die for. We will be back with more friends. Great atmosphere and super nice servers.

I love this place, but more for its steaks and their server named, Julie, than anything else.
Food is certainly great..been going there for years. Prices are great for value of food, too.
However, I’ve been served by Julie for years and I just love her to death..she’s like my sister, really. She’s so awesome will all her customers, but when I come in, it’s like a family reunion and I love that. I feel at home.
If you want a great steak or a great meal in general along with great service, this is the place to go in Beaver Dam!!

We were here with another couple and all of us were so impressed with the taste and quality of their food. Our waitress was so funny and helpful. SHE REALLY HELPED TO MAKE OUR VISIT THERE EXCEPTIONAL. I enyoyed the pork chop that was so moist and tender. The flavor was phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back and order it again. My husband devoured his prime rib. He loved it. Our companions had the prime rib and scallops. They raved about them. The salad dressings were unique and good.

Had dinner there on a Thursday night. We both had steaks with baked potato and choice of soup or salad.
5 Star rating from us & waitress was a veteran, friendly and very professional.
Must say the steaks were the Best we have had in a long time.

After going to another establishment in town and not even being acknowledged we went to Char Haus instead. We’re lucky we got ignored at that other place because the staff here was extremely friendly, the food was great, and the inside is very nice. Don’t let the location put you off at all (it’s a bit of an industrial and residential mix area), an outstanding meal and great service await you inside!
I also thought my wine selections would be limited, WRONG. They have put together a small but GREAT wine list here. My wife and I loved our evening.
I went with the walleye special they had and it was done perfectly, first-rate Friday fish fry for sure!

I really liked it. The food was great, service was great. Price was a little high and yet right in the ball park with other pricing if you want decent food. I also liked the atmosphere, the dining room had the old tin ceilings. The one thing I didn’t care for is that when you first walk in you walk into a packed bar and every one turns and looks at you. But I guess that is to be expected and not their fault that they are busy. Its actually a good sign. For the people that complained about the bad service, the service isn’t bad, they are just really busy because they are really good. Go to a cafe if you want instant service.

We have been to the Char Haus 3 times over the past couple of months – for a Friday night fish fry, a weeknight dinner, and New Year’s Eve. We have never been disappointed. The food is excellent and the service is consistantly fast. We’ve had seafood, ribs, duck, and chicken – all equally delicious. The servers make us feel as though we are guests in their home. Love the exposed brick and copper ceiling.

Pleasantly surprised.
Found the food to be quite tasty. Enjoyed the chowder and perch. My son loved his prime rib.
The prices were a tad high for the quality, so i dont know that i’d come back, but overall i enjoyed the experience and visiting a new place.
The bartender was really unwelcoming, but the servers in the dining area were wonderful.

We came across this place on a Motorcycle trip a year and a half ago. What a find!! It has THE BEST prime rib we have ever eaten. Not on the menu you can order it Cajun or Blackened. The wait staff is super friendly! We did have an extended wait time once, that was due to an inexperienced hostess, but were very well taken care of by the rest of the staff due to her error. We live 3 hours from here and have made the trip several times just to eat their prime rib. Did I mention the desserts? Try the variety of cheesecakes, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent Prime Rib. Extremely tender with terrific flavor. Cheese Curds were very good also. Joann was our waitress.
She was sweet and efficient. Had a beer at the bar before dinner. Bartender was a nice guy. Overall a GREAT experience.
