This review is for the dining room. The dining room is lovely, less cluttered than under previous management. The visiting-chef menu is limited so between our table we had all 3 entrees. My $46 halibut was overcooked and the butter sauce was nothing special. The mole on the short ribs was very good though the ribs could have been trimmed a little better. The bean and mussel stew was savory.
The cocktails were very good as were the oyster appetizers. Service was good.
Bread service should be complimentary. I just don’t understand why decent bread is so overpriced and hard to come by in this area.
If we were to go again, I’d have a burger in the tavern.

Lovely Maine classics plus some unexpected surprises! I started with a virgin Raspberry Lemon tequila smash craft cocktail. We shared delicious Pastrami seasoned smoked salmon Bao Buns with seafood salad. My husband had his favorite Halibut over pea risotto and I had the Pork ribs with Cole slaw and french fries. The ribs fell right off of the bone.I had eaten nothing but seafood for two weeks and felt the need for meat. 🙂

Dinner was delicious and was definitely professional-chef prepared. Dessert was a flop, but who can afford a full-time pastry chef on a small island? Definitely go for the main course and ambiance. We will definitely be back!

We were there tonight for a special night out. I had halibut with mushrooms, fiddleheads and a smoked halibut sauce. He had a stew of white beans, mushrooms, clams and asparagus. The halibut was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. We did have to ask for bread so the sauce did not go to waste (and were charged for it). He enjoyed his entree but said it was a bit heavy on the pepper.
Dessert, however, was disappointing. Mine was a blueberry tart with a cream thyme sauce. (The sauce was not mentioned earlier and when the waitress started pouring it on I asked her to stop but it was too late.) it was actually blueberry sauce with a kind of crumbled graham crackers on top- definitely not a tart, not even baked. He had the spruce ice cream sandwich with chocolate chip cookies. The ice cream was interesting but the cookies were rock hard.
In conclusion, high marks for the entrees but skip dessert. Gorgeous setting and pleasant wait staff.

A fantastic experience in the Dining Room! So thrilled we were able to indulge in the creations of Chef Courtney and visiting chef Krem – certainly worth the recognition the service recently received from the NYT. We will be back!!

A must! My husband and I had dinner in the tavern on a Monday night (one of the few places open). We got the half chicken and a burger. The burger was seriously the best one we’ve had in our lives! My jaw dropped. The half chicken was huge and could easily be shared between two people. The dessert, ricotta cheesecake with apricot, was perfect. We enjoyed this dinner more than what we had at Aragosta. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, highly recommend!

Amazing dinner and terrific service. The duck, steak, halibut were all amazing. The hard part is deciding which to choose! Big city fine dining in a beautiful location.

Well priced for really high quality, delicious food that’s sourced locally, the waitress was more relaxed and friendly which made everyone feel right at home, and they have the best French Onion Soup I’ve ever had in my life, hands down.

My mom & brother & I had a wonderful meal here. We had the tasting menu and it was outstanding. The service was excellent, the chef has done an incredible job putting together 6 interesting & delicious courses, and the setting can’t be beat. If you’re on or anywhere near the island this summer put this one at the top of your list.

My family and I have come here for as long as it’s been opened. We won’t be coming here again. The service and food has gone downhill.
I ordered a glass of wine, and was told by the server that they “would not open that bottle of wine because it’s late in the season” which is appalling.
You can choose between 8 appetizers, and only 3 entrees. For 2 people it was over $160.00. And we got the attitude from our server at no extra cost. The dining room was half empty but our server rushed us anyway.
Always been a huge fan of this place and talked it up to my significant other just to be left feeling slighted and embarrassed.
