This place has been on my radar for a few years, believe it or not. Since I work out of town and they’re only open for lunch it was hard to try this place. FINALLY!! We were able to! My wife had the daily special which was Chicken Quesadilla. It was delicious! The rice was good and so was the corn. I had the Carne Asada plate. It may be alittle tough for some but I was fine with it and the flavor was awesome! Our server was super friendly. The atmosphere was very chill and clean. We will definitely be back even if I have to miss work!!!

We had a tray of “fritanga”, best food ever – a tasty home cooked meal. Delicious!! The owner and chef are so skillful and welcoming. We love this place, thank you!!!

Nola Nica never disappoints! This is the first time I order the Fritanga. My jaw dropped when she walked out with a 9×11 baking pan! It is enough food for three meals. (Two for a more hearty eater) This sampler has all your favorites.

NolaNica is a welcomed change and now on my list of “go to” places. While located farther than I typically like to travel (on Airline past the airport), it was definitely worth the drive. I was nervous about being able to find the restaurant, but I was easily able to spot it from the road. The interior is small, but very nicely put together.

The service was awesome! The guy (possibly the owner) that took my order was great in offering suggestions. He also was happy to answer any questions we had. After ordering, we received our food really quick. I had the NolaNica Burger. OMG! Best burger ever! It was like a flavor explosion in my mouth, with so many textures and moving parts. It came with fries and they were equally good! I don’t typically eat burgers, but this burger has defied the odds. I wanted to try the Nacatamal, but they unfortunately had run out. We arrived around 5pm, so Mental Note: Get there earlier next time! The other guest had the taquitos, which came with rice/beans and coleslaw. I loved the coleslaw, but it may take some getting use to for others.

Delicious. Had the daily special, Baja chicken Flautas . The chef even swapped the rice for me. I got the black beans and rice. Look forward to going back. Wish I would’ve discovered Nola Nica sooner!

Rude reception by the husband, the cook. I think he was upset because he was out of popular items. All chicken dishes and many sides on the menu were unavailable before 1pm and they are open until 3pm. If you go to lunch at 2pm all that might be available is buns and ketchup! It looks like they might be having financial issues. We’ve been sitting for 35 minutes and no food. Another party arrived and they were served and checked out before we got our burgers. I was told they ordered before they arrived. We received the street corn and plantains first. We ordered two specialty burgers and received them 45 minutes after we ordered! The burgers we received weren’t the specialty burgers with coleslaw. They didn’t bother to tell us they were out of coleslaw too! The overall taste of the burger was good eventhough the cheese was hard and not melted. I would call before you go to confirm they have the menu choices you are seeking and order it before you arrive. The service is the worst! The restaurant is difficult to find. Look for the blue awning.

Every so often in life, you run across people who are doing exactly what they’re supposed to be doing. These people were meant to make the best food possible, with excellent sourcing of ingredients, and the most kind and welcoming service. If you are by the airport in New Orleans, why suffer anything less? It’s a 12 hr drive from my house, and I am considering the trip.

I’ve been waiting to try this place, and boy was I in for a wonderful treat! The food was absolutely delicious. I got the Korean BBQ taco special. 2 chicken, 1 pork and 1 beef with street corn and their rice. Absolutely delicious. I savored each bite to allow the flavor palette to dance over my taste buds. I will definitely be back. The melon juice was a delicious drink as well. I just wish they were closer to where I live, but whenever work takes me out that way I’ll be there to eat! Bring your friends, they will thank you. Service is quick and friendly!!

This is my favorite place to eat in the Nola area hands down. From their warm, authentic hospitality to the freshness of the food…you can just tell these people love what they do!

They literally have the best burger in NOLA!! My husband and I came one day for burgers and they were sold out so the chef, Carlos, offered to whip us up something. When I tell you, it was delicious…I just can’t!! It was so good. They are so sweet. I can’t recommend them enough!!! God bless Nola Nica because they sure bless me!! ❤️❤️❤️
