The food was decent. We sat outside and had a great view of the stream. If a train had gone by it would have practically been in our laps.
The waiter was nice. We got an appetizer and it was good. My wife got a mixed drink she liked. Her entree was good. I ordered a hamburger medium well after confirming with the waiter they knew what that meant and it came out dry well done.
They were nice about it. We had a fine constraint so did not have time for them to make another.

Loved this place! Great atmosphere for families, yet modern/upscale enough to offer a unique menu. There was something for everyone on the menu and the drink selection was really creative!
We came here because our toddler is a train enthusiast, a bit disappointed we didn’t catch the train come by though. Apparently it passes only once a day, we were in the area between 11am and 3pm and it never passed. Nonetheless it was well worth the trip!
Will be back!

Quaint and vintage small town vibe. With a little imagination you can step back in time and enjoy a chef-worthy meal while waiting for the train. Great service. Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich!

No culinary trip to downtown historic Sykesville is complete without a meal at Baldwins Station. Originally built as a train station alongside the railroad tracks that parallel the South Branch Patapsco River, Baldwins retains an old exterior charm with delightful service and cuisine. Wine and Whiskey nights are common as are live music performances.
Their menu rotates frequently as seasonal ingredients become available.
For dessert, you must try the creme brulee.

Historic railroad Station restaurant overlooking active railroad tracks and river is a enjoyable setting. Great selection for lunch; loved the short rib sandwich, black bean burger, and mushroom bisque. Fast service and the manager greets everyone to make sure everything is going okay. Then take your receipt and go across the street to The Vine On Main for eclectic wine tasting and Fair Trade crafted items at a discount. 2020 update: Baldwin’s Station closed and reopened under new owner, management, chef, decor, and menu as Sykesville Station.

Great food awesome atmosphere (if you’re into trains) and a train came rolling through just as we were finishing up our meal.

Food is good, but a little pricey. Service was off this particular day. They were having problems with their system so maybe that was it. Oh well. Don’t think I will go out of my way to come back.

We had a fantastic meal. I really like the food the new chef is making. Sesame seared tuna was flavorful and done just right. Beef tenderloin and duck dish were both very good. Chocolate lava cake was out of this world. Please do not take that off the menu!

A totally delightful dining experience! Knowledgeable & attentive waitstaff but not intrusive. Delicious cocktails. Lovely menu options. Something for everyone. Indoor or outdoor seating. Romantic atmosphere but not overly so. Highly recommend. The six course wine dinner will be how we spend our next special occasion!
