I was expecting a typical taco shop. BUT don’t be fooled! It’s setup nicely like a sports bar/restaurant. The interior is very nice, decorated, and cozy.
The food was great, portions are good. The hot sauce is great, my personal favorite is the green sauce. But also the chicharrones W/GAUC is a must try! (See pic).
The service is very nice. The young waiters checked in on us a few times but not too much as it can get annoying. Just enough.
I can see myself coming back for food, takeout, and even sit at the bar to watch some sports.
The only bad thing I can say is that the prices is higher than any taco shop. $25+ per person easy. I’d come here maybe 2-3 times a month VS a taco shop maybe 2 times a week.

We loved everything about Mr. Taco! The place is a typical taco joint, nothing fancy, but that doesn’t deter from the amazing food! The service was fast and friendly. They checked on us several times to see if we needed anything. We ordered the Wet Burrito and Birria Tacos. The birria stew meat was cooked perfectly and the flavor was absolutely delicious. All of the ingredients tasted fresh! The only complaint is that you don’t get free chips and salsa, which is never a deal breaker for us. The chips did come with a sampling of different salsa, so that made up for not being free As an added bonus, you might catch a guy on a bike riding around with a parrot on his shoulder!

I just bought doordash from Mr. Taco and I am unimpressed with my order. I did not recieve my entire order and was missing 2 order of street tacos.
My torta tasted horible, the meat was burnt and honestly made me sick after a few bites. My papusa was no fully cooked and the flower inside was still partially raw. My beans were soupy, no seasonings. The only things that tasted great was the rice and the fries.
Im sorry, but I cant eat from here ever again and im saddened with the amount of money i wasted.

As a top ten percenter of restaurant reviewers on Google, this is the only other 5 star rating I’ve ever given, and rightfully so. tucked in a strip mall at county road C and white bear Ave, you’ll be hard pressed to find a place where everything (and I mean everything) is house made fresh. My wife ordered the Carne asada gordita and I ordered the Pollos a la mexicana quesadilla. My personal favorite was how they used a hint of lime juice and other types of vegetables in the guacamole. Good portions and reasonable prices. It is definitely a must-stop and has two thumbs up from me!

We visit at least three times a month, and every time, the food never disappoints. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, this is the place to go. The margaritas are delicious, and they offer Jarritos (Mexican soda) as well as aguas frescas (freshly made flavored water). The service is quick; I think only once did we have an issue where half of our party’s food was brought out late, but overall, the food is usually served on time, and the servers are very friendly. My kids love it, and it has become their new favorite Mexican restaurant.

-Tacos – we love lengua (beef tongue) tripa ( crispy fried intestines) just try them, their birria tacos, and my favorite Al pastor (which is hard to find a good place that makes good Al pastor.

I ordered some pupusas and a few things very wrong with them. They did not provide the sides for them and when I took a bite of one, there was plastic inside the pupusas. See the picture. That is not okay. They have gotten our order wrong as well and dont seem like they know what they are doing.

I ordered birria ramen via DoorDash. It was delicious – best I’ve ever had. It arrived so quickly too. A+. My only recommendation is to add maybe some vegetables or garnish to the ramen (radish, cabbage, maybe some crunch)
