This place has completely lost its charm. It used to be a great spot to hang out with friends or get some work done during non-busy hours, but after my recent experiences, I won’t be going back or ordering from here again.
1. Hygiene:
The tables are left unclean and sticky. The bathroom is a mess—there was even a bicycle inside, tissue papers all over the wet floor, and wonder if it’s water or pee on the ground. I mentioned it to the owner a couple of times and waited 20 minutes, but the bathroom was still not cleaned, so I left.
2. Food safety and quality:
While some of their signature dishes still taste authentic, what I found in my recent order was unacceptable. I got paneer Maggi to-go for my kid and discovered a metal shard/wire in the food. I’m just grateful I noticed it before my child took a bite. This raises serious concerns about hygiene and safety in their kitchen.
3. Service and wait times:
Long waits have become the norm here. Whether dining in or ordering to-go, I’ve consistently waited around 30 minutes for my food. This time, they completely forgot my order. After waiting 15 minutes during a busy period, I politely checked on it, and it was obvious from their reaction that they forgot. The explanation I got was, “We’re very sorry, as you can see today is very busy.” Being busy is not an excuse for forgetting someone’s order.
Overall, I am highly disappointed with the service, hygiene, and food safety at this place. What used to be a favorite spot is now somewhere I can no longer trust or recommend.

It’s in a great location – in the strip mall anchored by a very busy Indian grocery mega mart. But that’s about all that it gets right.

The ginger tea was flat – too much milk and too little ginger. It gets made fresh though. The corn masala was right out of the canned corn with very little to go with. Extremely disappointing.

The ambience is sort of busy but poorly kept. The staff seems too overworked and generally given up.

Went for a little pick-me-up, ended with long wait and a big let down.

Loved the chai in Kulhad – we tried both ginger and cardamom tea. And then there was masala Maggie, very yummy. Think of a tea time snack and come to chaiwala!

We headed to Chaiwala Shop right after visiting Chandini Chowk. They offer a fantastic selection of desi vegetarian dishes, including snacks, kullad pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, Maggi, pasta, shakes, chai, and coffee. We tried the Peri Peri Veggie Burger and Penne White Sauce Pasta, both of which were delicious. One suggestion for improvement would be to avoid serving the hot pasta in a black plastic to-go box for dine-in customers; it’s too hot to be served that way. I’m not sure what the reasoning is behind it, as the portion sizes aren’t so large that people need to take them to-go. I noticed the pasta was cooked in a healthy stainless steel pan, so it seems odd to serve it in a to-go box. Overall, all the dishes tasted great. If they maintain the quality and flavor, they have a bright future ahead!

Amazing atmosphere. Went there on Sunday evening. Great menu for vegetarians to have small meet and greet. We ordered Masala Chai, Saffron Chai, Bun Maska and Peri Peri Burger. Chai was okay, Deccan Morsels nearby has better Chai but their Bun Maska has egg but the one at Chaiwala Shop is eggless and really tasty. The Peri Peri Burger was great as well. Will definitely visit again

As me and my wife are tea lovers we were looking for some indian food outlet to have desi Indian chai.. and visited this place to have tea… and what a place for tea lovers, they offer more than 10 flavours of chai.. I had masala chai and requested them to make it strong, and my wife had ginger tea. We also ordered Indian style pizza which was amazing ( Indian tandoori mayo was extra delight) and Mumbai sandwich was amazing. The food menu has enough options like Maggie, bun masks, Indian style burgers. A must visit Indian restaurant for people who wants desi flavour in USA .

Hangout Spot!

Chaiwala is a fantastic spot to hang out with friends, perfect for a weekly ritual. The chai and snacks are delicious, and the overall vibe of the place is great. The staff is super friendly and polite, making the experience even better. The ginger chai is spot on and consistently prepared. Despite the weekend crowds, the service is quick, and the self-order kiosk makes everything easier. A clean restroom is available, which is always a plus. Bonus: There’s an Indian grocery store nearby, so you can have fun while ticking off some errands.

PS: When I was sick, I ordered their large ginger chai and veg grilled sandwiches for days—they were comforting and absolutely perfect. Highly recommend this place!

We went in for a late night snack being in neighbourhood. I was hesitant at first due a past experience of not liking masala tea. This time the Ginger tea was very delicious. In addition this was the only busy place in the lot. Had a hot veggie Sandwich too.

Went in with high expectations and almost every order we got was disappointing. Ginger Chai, Cardamom Chai, Masala Maggi and Bun Maska – each of these items were average at best. The chai was too strong yet not flavorful, it was lackluster. Not the chai one would expect from a place named as “Chaiwala”. Bun maska and Maggi were decent. Service was bad, the lady at the cashier was not pleased and polite. Didn’t felt welcoming. Seating was decent and overall a very mediocre place. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Delicious rose tea and Paneer sandwich. The owner was very nice and helped us find seating. The place is small and cute with limited items on the menu.
