The ice cream was adequate but slightly icy and less creamy. $8 for a large sundae that was small (see picture one bite taken) Sorry never again. Unless this was a one off, this is a tourist trap.

Excellent selection of soft serve ice cream with a wide array of options to pick from. The service was good, although please note they accept CASH ONLY!!!

– ice cream is really good, the oat milk dole whip is pretty good. I do miss the vanilla dole whip they used to have.

– cash only place.

– staff were friendly and helpful.

– service was quick.

– place was clean and organized.

– prices are normal for the area, again this place does cash only.

– very limited parking but you can also park on the side roads.

– overall a great place for ice cream.

The price gauging is insane. The prices go up every year, with the same slow, lousy service and cheap soft serve. It’s genuinely insane that this place’s prices exceed those of the famous Moomer’s and they keep getting away with it. Sure, they provide a classic vintage charm, but it would be great if their prices reflected that.

I usually really like this place, but I have to say — do NOT get the Dole Whip. They gave it to me in a cone without asking (I would’ve preferred a cup), and it melted super fast. The flavor was off — kind of sour and weird — and my sister actually felt like she was going to throw up from just a few bites. On top of that, it was $10 for two small cones! Definitely not worth it.

That said, everything else here is great. Just skip the Dole Whip and you’ll have a way better experience.

Stopped for a turtle flurry( like a blizzard). Was not disappointed. I got a small and has quite a time finishing it off. Generous servings! A gentleman standing there was getting a banana shake(made with real bananas). He said it was so good he comes back weekly for his fix!

We had a full day of eating and drinking in Traverse City. Was ice cream necessary? No, but it was so good. There was a long line but the staff were friendly and worked fast. I had a milkshake, it was quiet tasty. I love the sign and the vibe at this place. It’s definitely a local joint!!

It’s a flashback. Everything you hope for in small town USA in a litrle ice cream shack. Soft serve with a lounge of families waiting and the litrle flip screen of the kids working the booth for the summer. Get a cone dipped, like you did when you were a kid!!
