Have eaten here a few times and the food is always great. Never had bad service while eating in here and the place is always really clean. Not usually super crowded if you go during the week. Would definitely recommend stopping by here if you are in the mood for this cuisine.

Love this place! We’ve been here for almost 10 years and had no idea such amazing Asian cuisine was so close by. Our favorites on the menu so far are the chicken (and vegetables) tempura – fried so light and fluffy! – and the general tso’s! Highly recommend!

Great service and thr food is mediocre. Definitely needs improvements to the dinning area. Family owned so they know what the regular customers like and accommodate without being asked.

My husband and I have lived in Lancaster for about a year and a half now but had not yet thought to try Akina. We love sushi so when we’ve craved it, we usually go for a date night up to Ballantyne/Charlotte to get our fix.

But after trying Akina those days will definitely not come as often! HIGHLY recommend you give this little hole in the wall a chance!

It’s clearly family owned but isn’t that what’s so great about “small” towns? Sushi was good and it’s the next day and we feel great. We WILL be back!

This is the only go to in town since I’ve been here. After many visits, I’ve never had a bad or disappointing experience which is saying alot these days!☺️ I first went here with family at least 6 or 7 yrs ago & the hibachi was great! Now living here, this is my fave place in town & the sushi is SO good! The fried sushi rolls are a must! Its always a party in your mouth! Good job akina!

A deceptively wonderful meal. Even though the outside of the building isn’t glamorous, all the emphasis is on the food.

The meal was flavourful and generous. It appears to be a family operated restaurant and exceeded our expectations. Can’t wait to visit again.

I’ve tried a lot of 2nd rate sushi places, but this is one of the worst I’ve ever been to. The place is very dirty upon entry and most all of the tables had old plates with eaten food on them. We were the only customers at the restaurant. A young child greeted and seated us. There were 3 different random menus to choose from. We ordered hibachi and sushi. The steak hibachi was completely inedible and full of gristle. My daughter’s miso soup was oddly fishy (Not from dashi, but just a very sour odd taste) I believe the paste was expired. I had 2 sushi rolls that were extremely lackluster. I almost fell out of my chair when trying to use the wasabi. First, it was a dark emerald green color and appeared dryed out. It fell apart like my kids kenetic sand. When I put it in my mouth, it had a dry crunch to it. Thankfully the sushi didn’t have a fishy taste, but it was definitely not up to par. This place makes Red Bowl look like a Michelin Star restaurant. The service was acceptable, although if child services discovers that they have children working the joint, there may be some DSS involvement.
Stay away from this one unless your only other choice in gas station sushi…..which will probably get better reviews.

Not very good. The food was bland and cold. However, the servers were wonderfully kind.

There was a hair in my box. It was touching the food, so I removed it. Chicken was dry. Luckily, I ordered extra shrimp sauce, which was really good. I thought the portion was small for the price.
