Me and my wife have gone to Gurdys a few times now and we have nothing but great things to say about this establishment! Wether you need a quick bite to eat for breakfast, a simple lunch, or great home cooked meal for dinner this is the place to go! The prices are more are fair and on a few days of the week there are events to join including trivia night on Saturdays which was VERY entertaining! Of all the restraunts we have had in Austin over the years this is by far one of the best where you can feel right at home with friendly service. Photos were from Valentines day

Overall experience was great. Service was good, great atmosphere. I ordered the sooie. My only complaint is that the potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. We got a slice of apple cake and it was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Our server was well attentive and recommended some items on the menu. I ordered the Cluckin Spicy with chicken and shrimp and my husband ordered the Main Squeeze. We had to split the apple cake because we were so full from our dinner. I even have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

My husband and I ate here for lunch, and everything was AWESOME! Our server, Erin, was kind and attentive but didn’t hover, our food came out quickly and was super fresh, and the interior was clean and decorated very nicely. I had the “Smokin Good Boy” double burger with homemade potato chips, while my husband had the “Cluckin’ Spicy” penne pasta. The burger was perfect, the only thing I will say is that I was disappointed they didn’t have pickles for the burger. They did have a choice of lettuce or tomato, though. The chips were excellent. My husband would’ve liked his pasta to be spicier, since it had the “spiciest” indicator next to it on the menu, but that man would burn his tongue off if you let him. His pasta came with garlic cheese bread and a side salad, both very good, too.
We had the chocolate fried pie as well as the apple cake for dessert. The apple pie was very, very good. I was a huge fan of the cream cheese frosting on top. Very thick and delicious!
The chocolate pie was crispy and melt in your mouth good. We agreed that the chocolate pie was our favorite.
The price for our food was excellent, especially in today’s world. We are extremely happy to have such a fantastic spot in the neighborhood, and cannot wait to eat here again! I would love to try their breakfast and dinner menu, since we have already had the lunch. My favorite thing about it all was that you could tell everything was homemade. YUM! 🙂

Gurdys is not just a restaurant, its an emotion in every bite. From their delicious Chicken Alfredo to their freshly baked breads, its a flavorful explosion in your mouth. I had the opportunity to get a take and bake for the Thanksgiving week and it was so delicious and you tasted all the love they pour into this restaurant. I highly recommend and of course, I’ll be back. Fantastic job!!!!
