Cucina Morini delivers a refined yet comfortable dining experience right in the heart of DC. The atmosphere feels warm and intentional, perfect for both a relaxed dinner and a more elevated evening out. The pasta was fresh, balanced, and full of authentic flavor. Service was attentive without being intrusive, which made the entire experience seamless. Definitely a spot worth returning to when you want quality Italian cuisine with a polished downtown vibe.

Can’t recommend this place enough! My friend and I got to check out Cucina Morini during their “Morini Monday” promotion, and I’m so happy we did. To start, we got a focaccia and were stunned by how delicious and fresh it was. To drink, I strongly recommend the rosmarino!!
For main courses, we split a spaghetti cacio e pepe, a paccheri ala norma, and a gnocchi (the Morini Monday promotion includes smaller plates for $10 and three dishes was the perfect amount for the two of us). All three of these dishes were AMAZING! Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted spectacular.
Also need to highlight how amazing the service was! Our waiter Cesar was incredibly kind and answered every question we had about the menu. We’d heard about an MVT resident discount, and the manager Paulene was incredibly helpful and so so kind.
Overall, a MUST if you’re looking for above and beyond food and service.

This is hands down the best Italian restaurant in D.C. for me right now.
Every dish I tried was incredibly delicious and tasted truly fresh — you can tell a lot of care goes into the ingredients and the cooking. What I especially love is that they offer small side portions, which makes it perfect for ordering multiple items and sharing everything together. It turns the whole meal into a fun, communal experience.
The service was also excellent — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I’ve already been back twice, and honestly, I know I’ll be coming back again. This place has officially earned my number one spot for Italian food in D.C.

While waiting for our last friend, we had martinis at the bar for Martini Hour which is a DEAL. $7 and I had the Calla Rossp which was a fun, fruity drink!
For restaurant week we had the burrata (fantastic), gnocchi and spaghetti w/ mussels (both were amazing), and the gelato sundae (one of the BEST desserts I have had at a restaurant). To top it off, this 3 course dinner was only $40, one of the best deals you can get!
Not only were the food and drinks fantastic, but service was quite stellar. A shout out to Carlos for bringing ALL the vibes on a Friday night from the start and attentively checking on us ladies!
I cannot wait to come back here and thank you for a top-notch dining experience ✨️

what a perfect vibey spot for some incredibly delicious italian food! definitely get the treviso salad and the fried blossoms to start. i could eat so many plates of their mushroom cream ravioli! i’ll be returning for more of that next time for sure. the lamb chops were also so flavorful. the service was also fantastic and they were so nice! adding this spot to the dinner night rotation

Omg! The Griminga, the Rigatoni. Yes, yes, yes! So happy to have gotten the Griminga. The Rigatoni was tasty but was not as perfect as the Griminga. I almost licked the plate. Will certainly return. Thankful for the service that Morgan provided. The staff and manager Pauline were very nice and thoughtful. Everyone was very personable. This place has several places to seat for different size parties.

The food was very good . If I can give 4.5 I would . It was not quite a 5. Our server was great and the food was very tasty. The tuna appetizer was good but not fantastic. I liked the smokiness of the octopus and the combination of potatoes and peppers with it. My pasta could have used a little more prosciutto on top and I think crisping it would have taken the dish to another level. The lamb bolognese was very tasty and well balanced in flavor. I highly recommend trying this place and I would definitely come back!

Gorgeous interior, friendly bar service, and fantastic food! The wine selection was wonderful. Really enjoyed the calamari and truffle ravioli. They even charged my phone for me since it was low battery! Don’t skip the cream brûlée!

Every time I visit Cucina Morini the quality of the food and beverage is amazing, whether I’m there for martini happy hour or a full dinner. I brought my husband last night and it was a great time. I especially enjoyed the pansotti and the yellowtail crudo, but you really can’t go wrong! The menu is well considered and offers half portions for pasta which is perfect if you’re struggling to decide between a few different options. Our server was super friendly and helpful and the ambiance was buzzy and fun, perfect for a date night. Thanks to the team for a great meal as always, I’ll be back!
