I was honestly very disappointed with my experience here. I’ve been to many Korean BBQ restaurants, and this was easily one of the most underwhelming ones I’ve tried.

First, the meat did not taste fresh. The texture and flavor were noticeably off compared to what you’d expect from a decent KBBQ place. For a restaurant that advertises Korean BBQ, the quality of the meat really needs to be much better.

The service also wasn’t great. The staff didn’t seem very attentive and the overall attitude felt a bit indifferent. It definitely didn’t feel welcoming.

The side dishes (banchan) were just average. Not terrible, but nothing memorable either.

Given this experience, the current 4.6 rating feels very surprising to me. Based on food quality and service alone, I personally wouldn’t rate it anywhere close to that. I’ve had much better Korean BBQ at many other places.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing KBBQ experiences I’ve had.

We had a great time visiting KW BBQ for the first time. The meats were all very fresh and the leek side dish really enhanced the meats. Our favorite was the thinly sliced brisket! We also got the bean paste stew which we thought was very very authentic.

Service was also impeccable! Our server was very nice and fast. She came to check on us multiple times. We also had the pleasure to meet manager Sarah who greeted us very warmly.

We highly recommend KW!

This place is fire! The meat quality is top-tier, fresh, and super flavorful. The sides come out fast, everything is well-seasoned, and the service is on point. The whole experience was ice cold in the best way, clean, smooth, and worth every dollar.

The shaved ice was very good!!!

Highly recommend if you want great Korean BBQ and good vibes. I’ll definitely be back!

This is a great find in Burien. The meat cuts are good, the marinade is subtle and being able to pick your own banchan is great. The service is good as well. Unfortunately we came too early to try the bing su, but that’s for next time.

I was recommended by several friends to try this restaurant and I’m so glad I did! I have been here for the AYCE KBBQ option several times now, and every single time has been a great experience. The self-serve banchan is homemade and fresh, the service is fast and attentive, the meat quality is great, and the price is so reasonable, especially for Seattle!

You have to try the kimchi and japchae if you go. It’s my absolute favorite out of all that I’ve ever tried. Miss Sara, the server, uses her own recipe and makes it from scratch. She makes all the banchan herself, and you can tell from the taste it’s made carefully and with love. She even makes the meat marinades herself. The LA galbi was so soft, tender, flavorful, and juicy! Even though I usually stick to beef brisket at most KBBQ restaurants, I highly recommend trying the LA galbi too!

I honestly don’t understand the people leaving 1 star reviews of this restaurant. This is definitely a cozy, no frills, mom-and-pop restaurant that serves simple but delicious food. If you’re looking for a flashy and trendy KBBQ joint, you won’t get that. I find that a lot of those kinds of KBBQ places in Seattle serve “meh” food at a higher price point. I’ll keep going to the KW Korean BBQ as long as they are open!

My new favorite kbbq spot. I’ve only been here once and I can’t stop talking about it.

Went here a couple of weekends ago on a whim and so glad we did! The restaurant manager was super sweet and told us that the kalbi was her recipe. I was so impressed by the quality of the meat, huge generous, high quality cuts! The kalbi was the best kalbi I ever had! I’m a huge carnivore, eat a ton of kbbq in Federal Way and I also just came back from a trip to South Korea and their kalbi still is my favorite!

I can’t wait to come back and bring more friends!

KW Korean BBQ in Burien is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with warm, attentive service and a cozy vibe.

The food is outstanding high-quality meats, perfectly marinated. The banchan (side dishes) are fresh, flavorful, and generous, and the variety really elevates the entire meal. Every bite tastes intentional and authentic, from the savory bulgogi to the tender short ribs.

Went there late mid week Thursday and everything was fresh. Ask for Sara she was super attentive and kind in cutting our meat and explaining the marinades making sure rice and soda were refilled

If you’re in Burien (or anywhere nearby) and craving Korean BBQ, KW is a must-visit. Easily one of the best dining spots in the area—highly recommended!

This is the best Korean BBQ in Seattle! Love their wonderful and kind hospitality! Really reminds me of “Omotenashi” and back home. Also not only their service, but also their food is GREAT with great price too! Definitely recommend restaurant to go everyday!

One of the best LA Galbi and sides I’ve had at a Korean bbq place in a while. The cuts were thick and well marinated. I like how they place a parchment paper on the grill so things don’t get too sticky or burnt. The sides are super fresh and all you can eat as well. Kimchi is a must try! We also got the egg 찜, which I highly recommend. Went for early dinner around 3:30 on Saturday. No waiting and plenty of seats available. If you’re in the area. I definitely recommend this place. The Samgyupsal and Chadol were also good. Normally I’m weary about sanitation at a lot of these places but this restaurant was well kept and clean. The tables have a vent inside the grill which is also very convenient.
