Been eating their hoagies for 60 years and not about to stop! The friendliest staff, always clean, and the best part of everything is it’s ALL delicious! If you twist my arm I’m partial to the ham & cheese Cosmo but the entire menu is fantastic!

The shop provides seating at approximately a dozen counter seats and a few tables. Besides subs, they also offer a selection of Middleswarth chips and a cooler filled with various beverages. The large-sized subs are quite generous, potentially providing two meals for most individuals. I particularly enjoy the toasted cosmos. I highly recommend this place.

I wish this place was closer to me because it’s probably my favorite sub shop! The staff there are always so friendly and get your orders taken care of as quickly as they’re able to with how crowded they get. They have a small bar around where they make the subs for dining in as well as 2 or 3 tables. It is self-serve, you order at the counter and then grab it from the counter when it’s finished. If ordering takeout it is best to order ahead to avoid wait time however, they still get things together pretty darn quickly. They have chips and bottled drinks in a cooler. Their cosmos are my favorite! This is an older photo but the consistency is there every single time.

Was there today. Rose was working. If u remember Middleburg sub shop you would remember her. She told us she was making subs when she was 10. I would give Sunbury Sub Shops Ham and Cheese Cosmo a 10.

I’m a lifetime fan of this place! My parents use to go here when they dated (been married almost 52 years). Growing up, living in Indiana, we would go back “home” to Pennsylvania to visit family and go to Sunbury Subs. To this day (still living in Indiana), when my parents take a trip that way, they will stay an extra day to bring home a Italian Cosmo for me 🙂 I believe it was Maria that packed everything separate for their trip back and gave instructions for heating! It was AMAZING!!!!! I have yet to find a sub place that comes close to this! For reference, I get the Italian Cosmo as they make it, toasted, with all the fixings including the oil and mayo! I was just informed that my parents are heading that way in August, and I cannot wait!

Neither dad nor I had ever visited the Sunbury Sub Shop. So on a recent visit to the area, we decided to fix that gap in our sandwhich life. The owner and sub guru Maria recommend we try an Italian. It was wonderful, the roll was soft and fresh. The sub was jam packed full of Italian meats and cheeses. Don’t miss the house made oil and vinager, it brings the sub to life!
