The setting was beautiful; we ate outdoors with a beautiful view.
But the service was the most special part. The owner and family are the nicest people. Seriously.
I got a flat tire on the way to the restaurant on my rental car and was able to pull over just at the top of the driveway to the restaurant. The owner’s son, Erik, came out to help me and he changed the tire for me. He gets good karma points for life.
Incredible people, food and environment. You should definitely go!
The owner it’s a nice person, friendly and he’s doing all the jobs in the kitchen and service on the table.
It’s shame because with a little bit of money but hard work this place can be spot on.
Food was good.
We were a party of 6
I love a restaurant with the confidence to serve a small and simple menu. La Brouette is one such. Four entrees, three plats, four desserts. It’s more than enough if you know what you’re doing. The herring came in the most beautifully balanced marinade. The salmon was full of dill and served with lots of sour cream. And the trout smoked on the fire was the best thing I have eaten in ages. We also loved the beautiful handmade potato crisps served with the aperitif.
I would go far out of my way to pass through Vence in order to eat here. La Brouette is a truly wonderful restaurant.
Parking is very limited (and you need a reservation, so plan ahead), and the ramp from the road down to the parking area is so steep we very nearly had to stay there (or call for professional assistance). But that just made the trip that much more memorable.
Easily the best meal — food and experience combined — of my life.
