This is the sort of place that you don’t often find anymore.
It’s part grocery, part restaurant, and the restaurant part is just astonishing.
The real stars here are the hamburgers. Gigantic, cooked fresh, lean meat, excellent flavor. And served on a brioche bun, too!
This is without a doubt the best burger I’ve eaten in 30 years, and I’ve eaten a lot.
My wife and I split a cheeseburger and order of fries, and it was as much as we could eat.
The atmosphere is totally laid-back; just a couple of small tables. We went when it wasn’t busy, but I’ll bet it gets pretty hectic at peak times.
The service was very friendly, too. We felt so at home! We can’t for our next visit to Lake Murray so we can stop here again.

I was greeted with a nice smile by Christina. She was cheerful, as was Cindy.
The store is nicely stocked with all types of items. This place has the typical convenience store candy, chips, and drinks. Plus a good variety of camping food/canned food. They have peanut butter, jelly, cups, and plates. Additionally, they have camping and supplies like charcoal, toilet paper, trash, and ziplock bags. There was even a small charcoal grill!
There is a big selection of boat stuff, too. There are fire extinguishers, oil, and life jackets.
One isle has a large selection of over the counter medicine. Anything from Pepto Bismol to Advil.
They serve freshly made burgers, sandwiches, and soup. My family ordered two cheese burgers and a BLT with fries. The burgers and BLT were excellent. The fries were good but needed a little salt. There is plenty of comfortable seating. They also have outdoor seating too.
The store has been meticulously cleaned and dusted. The items on the shelves are perfectly lined up. It is obvious they spend a lot of time cleaning and stocking.
I did not inquire about their cabins or RV site. I did see the cabims from the outside, and they look nice and tidy. If the store is a reflection on the cabins, I can only assume they are very clean.

One of few dining options if you are making a trip to Lake Murray. Friendly service that was prompt and attentive. Tried their breakfast burritos, eggs with toast, fries, coffee and surprisingly tasty flatbread pizza.

So worth the detour to stop here for a quick bite. BLT was just like Mom made growing up except they didn’t use thin, store bought bacon. So freaking good. The burgers were as good as the reviews stated too. It’s not fancy at all. Just legit homemade food that reminds you of growing up and the “good old days”. Will for sure stop if Im in the area again.
