At the beginning of the year I called in the restaurant for takeout, which I had done many times on the past. I was a repeated customer because I like their food and it’s a local restaurant for me. Their service was in some visits great, no complaints and sometimes not so great but not enough to give them a bad review. However, on my last takeout they took the liberty to provide my Cell number to an advertising company and I haven’t stopped getting texts about the restaurant. I never signed up they just did it on their own. I tried calling them to ask if I could be taken out of the list since and they were nasty about it. They claim my number was not in the list and when I tried telling them I was still getting texts, they just brushed me off as if I was crazy. I told them I would never order from them again and their response was “ Ok is that all “. I still get those advertisements from them via text so I figure they reminded me to give them this review.

My wife and I were in the Ridgefield Park area and unexpectedly decided to have lunch at La Casa del Chef. The food was excellent as well as the service. I had the lomo saltado and my wife the saltado de pescado. Both dishes were delicious! The wait staff was on point, bilingual and attentive to make sure we had a pleasant visit.

I walked in not sure if I would actually get anything and im so glad did! I ordered the beef chauffeur and 1 chicken & 1 beef empanadas. Hands down Best chaufa ever !!! Had good brownish color to the rice, the prices of beef were bigger than usual and the tast OMG so flavorful and on the money. Eat some with a banana and that’s a treat! The chicken empanada was good (so my husband -who ate it, said) I had the beef one but sadly I have to say I did not enjoy it. While the empanadas was really fat and filled (A+) the taste however of the meat was not good. I can’t say if it was simply the flavoring but it tasted like old with an after taste. I was surprised cus I was really looking forward to tearing it up with my rice. But I scooped out the meat and ate the dough Either way Great food and service ..I recommend!! 15B is

order a combo # 4 and another whole chicken with maduros. I callled to let them know that drume legs tips and wings where over burnt and that thigh that looked ok tasted burnt and dry . Did not even offer a partial refund but was told that i came late to get my order and thats why my chicken got dry and burnt. wil not be coming back this place again.

The best restaurant that I’ve visited. I love “chaufa mixto” is the best chaufa and they make the best Peruvian food in Ridgefield Park. Also, they make a delicious “Causa”. Their service is very professional, they make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend, I’ll be back soon

Small storefront Restaurant featuring authentic Peruvian dishes. There is table service by a friendly and helpful staff. The food was prepared and presented well and we had an enjoyable dinner.
There are combination specials that are worth considering if there are 2 or more in your group. If there are 4 or fewer in your group you will probably not have to wait for a table unless you arrive at the peak of the lunch or dinner times. Many people order by phone and pick up food to take home and that’s another strategy.
The shrimp ceviche (and other ceviche dishes) are raw seafood prepared with citrus juices. This is normal for ceviche and this place did a good job. The chicken was also good and the fried plantain that was included with the chicken combo was delicious.
There is a small charge per container to take leftovers home.

PC FAST REPAIR
THEY SHOULD CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!! the rice had no flavor, or the meat! The sarza de criolla tasted like pure vinegar. The AJI (green sauce) was watered down!! Who puts pater in the aji??? Oh yeah so double the amount. Smh. This food sucks!! I feel they are lying to all those people that live in ridgefield park. Smh sad. Want real peruvian food..go to paterson. Not the best area but alot better and real peruvian food for half the price!!!

What’s is this . I love this place but after this i dont think i will keep ordering these Maduros are horrible. The amount of old oil in plastic is disgusting. I won’t eat this in my worse day . Someone should definitely make a visit to this kitchen. Definitely not A grade . C at best .

I wish I could give this 0 stars. My wife tried ordering basic rice and chicken for our 11 month old daughter and the miserable lady caught an attitude. The sad thing is the chef was going to make our dish but that waitress or cashier or whoever she was just looked like she was angry with life so we decided to go to the Chinese Restaurant right next door and they HAPPILY and JOYFULLY helped us.
