Food tastes great, but sometimes comes out not with the correct temperature. Example: Wife and I order separately tonight to test online versus counter order speeds… and my food came out semi-warm (too cool) and hers was piping hot. Tells us sometimes food is sitting before getting handled quickly. Was not crowded inside tonight, but did have fairly consistent traffic for online & To go orders. Seating area not full at all and very little wait to order. Arrived 7p-ish.
Service at this location can be hit or miss as they get busy. Tonight was our first ever drink table refill when they brought the food, otherwise never happened before (must go to front to ask).
Smaller location that is shaped differently and that may play a part in the odd service, idk.

I hadn’t ordered in many months because it is always the same issue with them giving me the old or burnt bacon even when I call in and ask to please make sure not to give me the overcooked bacon. The gentlemen over the phone was great and I really thought I could enjoy my meal for once. But no, I’ll just have to go to a different location and hope for the best I guess.

I have enjoyed McAlister’s in the past and so I’ve recently started visiting again. I’ve been happy with the service – there are some sweet people working there – and it’s relaxed enough that I can take my kids for a nice little meal. The food is delicious and good quality for its mid-range price point. My kids like their pizza and soups, and especially the lemonade.
I was a bit disappointed today with my chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad is great, but there was not very much of it and I expected more to balance out the croissant and greens. When I’ve gotten potato soup, it’s also delicious but lacking in the garnish and toppings. Hence the drop of 1 star. I hope they’ll do more next time.
Overall it’s a nice place to have lunch or a casual dinner, as well as kid-friendly and budget-friendly.

The Rowlett location is the best. They provide great service everything i go, food is delicious. The staff always checks on you when you eat to make sure you have all you need to enjoy your food… if you dine in, please tip.. they deserve it!!!!

This is our second time here and we love it. Super friendly staff especially Gio and the lady who took our order. The food was very filling and we also got a carrot cake to share which we ended up taking back home with us. I recommend this place if you love a good sandwich. We will definitely be back!!!

We came in pretty late, an hour before close but the staff was super friendly. The manager (I think she was the manager, she was dressed differently than the others) was the best part, she came over and talked with us for a minute. She was so kind and accommodating and treated us so well! She wasn’t wearing a name tag but kudos to her! I will be back here mainly because of her going out of her way to be attentive to us. Food was absolutely yummy too!

Whenever I come here for uber/doordash it takes forever. The last time I came it was just egregious. There was only one girl working the counter and she didn’t check our orders in the back till she finished taking the orders of literally 5 people in line. The staff in the back have no common sense to come out of the kitchen and give out orders either. Even then just put the orders on the to go rack. No one is going to steal them….You can’t convince me 2 orders of Mac and cheese takes 20 mins to make. You could hand cuff me and I could do their jobs wayyyy more efficiently.

Great McAlister’s. The folks who work here are always nice and courteous. Food is always good. Tea is the best. I wish they had other citrus than just lemons for my tea. That would take it to five stars for me.
Tried the carrot cake for the first time and it was real good. Love the cream cheese frosting.
