8/05/25: Visiting from Dallas, TX. The restaurant is right off Main Street. Yes, it is “hidden” and you have to walk down an alley to get to it. Blake greeted me and he was very friendly. I sat at the bar and ordered a burger and fries, chicken wings, and onion rings. They had one cook, and he was pretty cool. This was definitely a “locals” bar, but the staff made me feel comfortable. The food took a while to come out, but when it did, it was fresh and hot. Everything tasted ok, but the burger and onion rings, which had been recommended by the bartender, were really good. The bar was well stocked, and the beer was cold. They had plenty of patio seating, and they host live music. The bar area and the bathrooms are in need of some TLC. Parking on Main Street can be a challenge.

I went the next day to have a burger and onion rings, but they were out of onion rings. I settled for seasoned fries, which were ok.

We stopped by after hiking, there were only 2 servers and the place was kinda of half full. It took a little while to get our drinks and food, our food was also cold. The patio area was nice though, pets are welcome which is cool. The BBQ wings were good too. Our server was very nice and attentive.

DO NOT GO HERE, big scam!! None of this is exaggerated and I have some of the proof in the pictures. If you go here, go in the bar and do only drinks. But to be honest, I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my enemies.
1. It took 30 to 35 minutes to get two bloody Mary’s even though I asked them about it three separate occasions.
2. The wait for the food wasn’t terrible, but then when they brought the food out, we waited another three minutes for silverware and still didn’t have my bloody Mary.
3. They charge you for bottles of water, not free.
4. They have flies running around everywhere. Some tables extremely bad like 100 flies on one table.
5. They want to charge you 3.5% for using a debit or a credit card, refer to my menu picture.
6. They charge you a service fee if you are a party of 6 or more, we were 4 adults and 2 kids and they tried to charge me $22 for this even though the kids didn’t even eat!!
7. Refer to my two receipts the first one was $144 and I brought this to their attention bringing the bill down to $100.00 They charged us for 4 bloody Mary’s instead of two, and then I had them remove the automatic gratuity which by itself is so comical because it was the worst service ever and she got no tip and I don’t ever do that. I can’t even tell you the last time I did that.
Lastly, I just wanna say I’m glad it’s called Hidden Hideaway because it needs to stay permanently hidden for all, such a terrible experience!!

This place is dirty. I wanted to love this place. It advertised sourdough stuffed French toast. The cream cheese tasted like they added salt and garlic. I added à side of bacon that was so salty I couldn’t finish it. the picture shows the dirty bowl used to hold coffee condiments. I was also charged for my refill of coffee. my advice is go somewhere else.

Food was amazing! The salsa is superior! Service was great and the music was the cherry on top to the chill, quiet vibe

We were charged for water. The silverware was dirty. I ordered an omelette with bacon added. The omelette was way too heavy with cheese and pepper. The bacon was not added but there was a random piece of chicken in it. I told the server about it after I ate the omelette and she didn’t know how to remove it from the tab. The manager came out and asked what the problem was, not being customer service oriented at all. She was kind of rude and basically told me I was wrong.

The patio was nice but they were blasting nothing but Taylor Swift. I definitely don’t have a problem but T Swift but just a weird move.

Hidden Hideaway is a true hidden treasure in Fredericksburg. Great atmosphere, superior service, and unbelievable good drinks and food. We stopped in for their Saturday brunch. We ordered their Breakfast tacos and the stuffed French Toast. OMG was it delicious!! The owner added her homemade salsa for the tacos and it was perfect. Stop by for food or join them in the evening for
drinks and live entertainment. You will not be disappointed.

Found a little hidden gem just in time to get out of the rain. They put the porch covers down to cover us when it started raining and the heaters are on to keep us warm with the temp drop. They have our favorite beer and great hamburgers. Tandies has been an amazing waitress as we wait out the rain.

We went to eat some food on a Tuesday night. Most places can’t split checks but the bar could! So to the bar we went. The bartender was very friendly and made some great drinks. We came back the next day for just some shots, well it was supposed to be one round but it ended up as two rounds! The strawberry lemon drop shot was good the drink version was too strong for me. The lemon drop shot was also good. The wings were tasty and the fries. I recommend the inside bar for a nice dive bar feeling!

Hidden Hideaway on Main… funny enough, the only thing that’s actually hidden here are the prices. Everything else is easy to find, except maybe the value.

The place is a full-blown tourist trap, and they lean into it hard. The food was fine for basic bar food, but it’s absolutely not worth what they charge. You could get the same quality at a roadside bar without feeling like your wallet needs counseling afterward.

And here’s the plot twist: refills on soft drinks and tea aren’t free. They don’t tell you this upfront, so it turns into a surprise guest star on your bill. Nothing like paying premium prices for the privilege of being thirsty.

Overall, it’s not terrible, but between the hidden prices, the tourist-trap vibe, and the “meh” food, you won’t catch me hiding away here again anytime soon.
