I have been wanting to try this place for years and was glad to be in the area to finally check it out.
It’s a small, cozy spot tucked in a strip like shopping mall area. It was quite busy when we arrived on a late Sunday a.m. in January. Tables were filled and there was a line for ordering.
We decided on a tomato cheddar soup and the Churn it Up sandwich with Havarti and provolone. We were told the wait would be 40 mins, giving us the option to wait it out or go elswhere. We stuck it out and the food was at our table in less than 20 mins.
The sandwiches were ooey gooey toasted cheesiness and paired perfectly with the creamy tomato soup. It came with a lighty dressed arugula salad.
I had a freshly brewed ice tea and my dining partner got a Dr. Brown’s soda.
The breakfast rush was soon over but people were still coming in to eat and grab ake out while we enjoyed our meals.
They also offer beers and wines and hot chocolate.
The entire place was very clean, including the restrooms, although I did not see any table wiping going on. Staff were smiling and polite.
Plenty of parking in lot shared with other business.

The Dilly Duck Shop, owned by the mother-and-son team Russ and Phyllis, is an absolute gem. Phyllis greets every guest with a warm, genuine smile, and the place is spotless—from the pristine bathrooms to the beautifully decorated interior with charming knotty pine walls.The food is truly spectacular. We had the Pork Stack, and it was unbelievable—packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. This is a true five-star experience in every way. We’re already looking forward to going back soon. Highly recommend making the trip to enjoy this delicious spot!

This restaurant is EXCELLENT!!! The food and service are outstanding and among the best I’ve ever had. The Rotisserie Roasted Beef Sandwich, Tomato Cheddar Bisque, and Quiche Of The Day are divine. Order the ham and cheese, it’s phenomenal and will make every other ham and cheese you’ve thought was “so good” as just plain average. I should have asked her name, but the blonde woman making my latte and taking my order was really nice. They use monin syrup and the iced vanilla latte came out perfect – it was not mixed but once mixed tasted excellent. With sauces and purees that can be an issue but in this case it’s not. The interior is heavily wood and feels very warm. I came here looking for breakfast after my dermatologist appointment and moving forward will be coming here before/after my appts!

What a lovely lunch! We stopped by on the way from Boston to New York, and had both the roast beef and the rotisserie pork sandwiches. I loved the 24 hour onions on the roast beef, and the stewed tomatoes on the pork sandwich were perfect. The fizzy Arnold Palmer was also amazing—not too sweet, and the mint syrup was delightful. Such a great place, kind people, and incredible food!!

This place absolutely ROCKS. Quirky atmosphere, very like Bend/Portland Oregon vibes…artsy and pleasant. The food was super fresh and we got served by the most charming lady (I assume she might have been the owner because of her awesome Dilly Duck embroidered vest) who took excellent care of us and was really interested in making sure we had a good time. And, you sell the best root beer in the world, Hosmer Mountain! The crisp, fresh jalapenos on my pork breakfast were superb. My go to place to eat in the Norwalk area! Stopped here for breakfast today and loved the food and the service was very friendly and knowledgeable about allergies. My celiacs partner was able to order a really yummy breakfast sandwich and smashed potatoes. The coffee was also really nice. We will definitely be back!
