The Saucy Crab

Celebrating my birthday weekend with family members after craving saucy crab for over a week just to go to this location an hour after they opened and be told that there would be a 30 minute wait because the manager only had one server. There are several tables of customers already eating and it was not very busy. One of the family members of my party asked well can we at least just sit down at a table and because it’s seven of us here it would take a nice amount of time to get our orders together, which would probably fall right around a half an hour when the second server comes in… We were told that he could not sit us down because he didn’t want to “overwhelm” the server currently on staff. I then said can you just let her know that she doesn’t have to take care of our table because we still have to look over the menu and at that time we’ll wait for the second server who was scheduled to come in to take our order. We didn’t have a problem with that and again we were told no under no circumstances did he want to do that. They say everything happens for a reason so we decided to sit down and look at other restaurants in the area. As we’re doing this, he then decides to come and get menus to sit us down at a table after several customers walked out of the restaurant AND after waiting 40mins!! Yes, we told him then no thank you we were leaving. As we were sitting down, we found the reviews for this location to be the reasons that we weren’t supposed to be there, which were bad food, no seasoning, and bad customer service. My family and I left this location and went somewhere else and we will not be back. I can definitely confirm that the location in Evergreen Park is a lot better all the way around five stars in regards to food, staff and customer service. Please avoid all of the red flags with this location before you waste your time and your money.

There was only 2 people working when I was there. They have a Monday and Thursday special. My gator was really good! The sauces were mayo based for the juicy shrimp special. Dine in = 15% gratuities automatically on check

If you want more bag than food in your crab boil then this is the perfect spot. Not worth the price nor the hype. They need better customer service and better cooks. Maybe today was a bad day not sure but I ordered to go inside and they had it ready in 9 mins. From the looks and taste they just boil the food don’t clean it , toss a jar of butter and added whatever seasonings was in arms reach that’s it. My crab legs were missing pieces not sure if they ate some before bagging my food up. My 3rd time indulging again and they failed me each and every time. Will not be back. Save your money and time.

Great place, we have been here several times before in other locations, but this one was the best! No waiting! I gave this place four stars because the hush puppies were a little cold in the middle, but other than that, everything was great. I had the half shrimp and half crab legs it was great the sauce was wonderful my husband had the lobster tail and we also had shrimp fried rice it was fantastic. Our waitress was very friendly and was very Swift. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Best seafood boil I’ve had in a long time. The seafood was very clean and the food came out SUPER HOT, the crab meat was divine. I highly recommend the woopie flavor mix. Will definitely be coming back with family…..

I’ve always eaten at Saucy Crab, but I will never go to this location again. The Evergreen Park location is way better. I got food poisoning from eating here. The first time I tried the king crab, I’ll never forget that experience. This place is always empty, and I usually come here because it’s closer than the Evergreen Park location, but I won’t make that mistake again. I’ll drive extra just to get seafood.

So, my mother an I were dying to try out this fairly new restaurant and our experience was actually quite amazing. Our waiter Paul was so cool and very knowledgeable and helped us to order from the menu since it was our first time. Be mindful the prices are pretty expensive, between my mother and I the bill came out to 170$. We didn’t mind the price because our food was amazing, hot and fresh, I even ended up taking leftovers! We told Paul we would definitely be back!!! Please don’t ever slack in future, I really enjoyed this place!

The Saucy Crab is a NEW FAVORITE!!
The JUICY basket is filled with extremely fresh delicious perfectly seasoned shrimp and I ordered sweet potato fires. The sweet Chilli AND the Juicy sauce are INSANELY good!!! I ordered a frozen peach/strawberry margarita and it was perfection!!?
Glad we finally have one in this side of town!!
Will be back.
Ps. Lisa was my waitress and she was everything you want your waitress to be when visiting a new spot… friendly, insightful, and accommodating!!!

This food is super yummy. My first time going here was today 12 -23 – 21. Shrimps are yummy gator is yummy n oysters OMG. SO GOOD. I give this place 10 stars. Also got a chance to write our names on their wall.
