Social Profile:

Kings Co Imperial LES is the new Manhattan outpost of the wildly popular Williamsburg-based Chinese restaurant. Just like the original, the Lower East Side location on Delancey Street is casual and low-key, with dark wood, dim lighting, and well curated design elements. Perfect for group dining, the addition of red leather booths makes ordering large format menu items like Pu Pu Platters and shareable entrees a pleasure and the cocktail program ups the ante started at the Brooklyn location with a wide range of tiki-inspired cocktails as well as a solid selection of beer, wine, and spirits. From casual snacks with drinks at the beautiful bar to a multi-course Chinese feast, Kings Co Imperial continues to deliver on every level.

Modern Chinese haunt serving dishes made with local ingredients, including some from its own garden.

I really enjoyed my meal here. The staff is not only friendly but accommodating as we squeezed in 5 people into a 3 person table. The plates are great for sharing and prepared fresh and tasty! And the giant cocktails are fun for a group.

Cozy, intimate spot in the LES.
Soup dumplings are great and are worth coming to the restaurant just for that.
I would not order the Sizzling Five Pepper Short Rib (the meat was extremely fatty and tough to bite/chew).

Tried this place out the other day with a few friends – it was okay overall, and tried a few things from the menu but nothing stuck out as particularly outstanding. I did enjoy the tater tots, the scallion pancakes, and shrimp toast as apps. For mains, the eggplant and kung pao chicken were decent. I would definitely go back to try other things from the menu since it was decently expansive!

We went for the rubirosa collab – scallion pancake pizza which was very fun!
The rest of the food was great, too.

Great drinks, food, and service from the waitstaff, but was very rudely rushed out the restaurant by management or owner at 9:35 despite closing at 10. It was not a mere notice of closing, to which we would have definitely been considerate of, but a physical rush out. Within five minutes, chairs were up, music was off, and we were encouraged to use the restroom quickly— to the point of my accidentally leaving my purse behind. We did conclude our meal but wanted to take some bday pictures before close, especially after traveling 2 hours and making a reservation. Disappointed as a manager in the food service industry myself.

The food was nice and all. However, when I paid in cash the waitress did not give receipt nor proper change! I paid by 100 in cash and the total was no more than 45$ BUT the change I received was 30$. So I thought the waitress took her tip out of it, later I still left some tip on the table just for the waitress but one of the other waiter started shouting to us saying we did not tip! Although the food was decent I would not recommend!!!

The crispy garlic chicken is by for my favorite. I always go to the Brooklyn location BUT this was my first time in LES location, the consistency speaks volumes. Love it here.

Absolutely love this place for the food and the drinks. The ambiance is awesome and let me tell you their dumplings are the absolute best in the LES!!! Shane the bartender was a fantastic host and a great bartender! Definitely please absolutely do yourself a favor and enjoy what this place has to offer. You won’t regret it!

Positive: very friendly staff and delicious food

Negative: took way too long to get our food (one dish came out, then had to wait 30 min for the rest when the place was not busy). Slightly expensive.

I really think I would have gone with 4 stars if the food just came out consistently. We ordered 5 dishes around 5:30 PM when the place only had two other tables filled.

We got our 2 appetizers then received one of 3 main dish not too far after. But then there was this long wait. I saw many Togo orders being filled and being picked up. 30 minutes passed and our fried rice (mind you it’s just fried rice and only had 3 shrimps) and half chicken were still missing. We almost wanted to cancel the order at that point.

I would have been more understanding if the place was busy, but it really wasn’t either. Shrug

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly, so no complaint there!

Maybe we’ll give it another try next time.

If you want good Chinese food in the LES side, this is the place to go. We went during happy hour and the dumplings was $1/each, we got 2 different types and they were both great.

Also ordered some Mapo Tofu, veggies, shrimp fried rice. All were excellent. Tofu was in big chunks, taste great for tofu lovers. Shrimp fried rice was my favorite.

Servers was very friendly and love the Hawaii theme shirts. My Hawaiian friend felt at home.
