So happy Yama sushi had their grand opening! Fresh and delicious sushi at a good price. I’ve now tried their sushi three times. I love the Volcano roll that is lightly fried, great texture and was not overcooked. The Philly roll was also great, and good portion of fish. The snacks in their shop are also a great selection. You can’t find these items easily in other places. The store is setup with takeout sushi and then a shop with lots of imported goods on shelves. There is also a fridge with drinks and other items and also a freezer in the back. So happy that this shop opened!

This place was great! Definitely stands up to the other local sushi restaurants. We ordered 5 rolls and they gave us 1 more for free! There was only 1 that we didn’t love but it was just personal preference. Prices were good. The specialty roll menu was on the smaller side, but maybe they will add more once they get settled in. I actually preferred the smaller menu versus the 50+ that overwhelm you at some places. But a few more options would be good too.

Sushi is absolutely fantastic here! I love ordering a variety of dishes to see what stands out. In the top left container, I had the Super Duper Roll, Ocean Roll, Triple Sushi Deluxe, and some gyoza. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly they even surprised me with a complimentary Volcano Roll! Highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

My wife, toddler, and I stopped by last weekend. It’s a cute store with easy parking. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming with a little one running around their store. They have a lot of fun import foods to check out, and the prices are very reasonable. We got sushi as well and it was AMAZING! Some of the best tasting sushi rolls with good portions and great prices. We will definitely be making this our go to place for sushi.
Even better, my wife can’t have raw fish right now, and they helped us go through the menu for what she could have. It was a very pleasant experience all around!

BEST SUSHI IN MARYLAND! Hands down. I’ve been eating at Yama for years starting at their Hampden location and slowly following them around to Annapolis and Glen Burnie. I have never had a bad meal!

New spot in the area for Asian snacks and take out. Prices are excellent. We are excited to have a place locally instead of having to go across town for things we need and like. The staff here have been super friendly and welcoming.

Yama Mart is a fantastic addition to York Road! The shop is well organized and very clean. They carry a nice selection of drinks, snacks, candy, and Japanese pantry items. They also have fresh sashimi and sushi rolls made to order and onigiri (salmon, eel, and tempura shrimp on the day we went). The people who work there are warm and welcoming, and it was great to find a place that was open a little later on a weeknight (9pm) for takeout sushi. We will definitely be going back regularly!
