Do not come to this restaurant, complete tourist trap. Was recommended by the tour guide and we trusted his word since he is local. However, food, service and atmosphere was terrible. If I could leave 0 stars I would. First off, the ceviche isn’t even ceviche, it is canned fish served in a plate. Second, the soup was salty and a cockroach started running around out of no where and scared my girlfriend. I killed the cockroach of course and it stayed there even after we left, the employees just left it there. Also, the bill, wasn’t even correct. They added $5 extra, good thing I checked the conversion rate before paying to make sure I wasn’t being robbed. I truly don’t recommend this place to anyone. Dominican food is amazing but this place does not know how to cook good quality Dominican food.

Its a cute spot with very kind waitresses. Our tour guide said this was the place to go if we wanted authentic food. The goat was insanely tender and delectable and the seabass was smooth and not fishy at all. We did over order as we are tourists here but even for all that we ate I think 40USD each is reasonable.

A local took us here. Service was very prompt and attentive. The room is made out of palm leaves. I was told to choose the seafood but it was personally not my favourite choice. My brother said it was very fresh. Did not taste fishy at all

My favourite restaurant in Puerto Plata! Fried red snapper is delicious, as is the octopus and lobster. You can’t beat this restaurant. Options for children are fab too, chicken chicaron very tasty. Service is quick and everyone so friendly and attentive. The beers are always ice cold and go down a treat! We always visit more than once when we’re in Puerto Plata. Oh and you can’t miss the empanadas!

Will never visit again. Food was mediocre and over priced. Guess it’s good to the locals. The bills were mixed up. The waitress wrote the wrong names on bills. Said someone owed more than they did. Was arguing my group down about owing $5 in which we didn’t believed we owed as we paid all of our bills. I purchased 3 items . I was charged for my 3 items. I even left a $5 tip. The waitress argued with another person from my party and acted as if we couldn’t leave until we paid $5 more. She followed us out to the car demanding an extra $5 but no one could explain what it was for. I then stated to use the $5 tip I gave her. Now all of a sudden they don’t understand. We were crunched for time and someone just gave them $5 so they would go away. I feel like it was uncalled for and that they were trying to get over and squeeze every dollar out of us that they could. It’s all good because I would never return and I would never refer anyone this place. The $5 was never the issue.

I got the Red Snapper. Looks crazy buts tastes great! They also had Bass Fillets. Much smaller. Got it with salad and beans and rice.
All was delicious and good price. I’ll update this with price if i find it.

No room for desert. Lol the seats are hard. Wooden. So if you have any issues with that, this is not the place for you to sit in.

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant, describing it as having great food, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the expectations. The food was bland and arrived cold, portions were quite small, and the prices were high for what was served. On top of that, the waitress stood behind us watching throughout the meal, which made the experience uncomfortable. I’m not sure if our guide simply didn’t know better or if there’s some arrangement with the restaurant, but based on our visit, I wouldn’t recommend it.
