Breakfast @ 10:00
Fantastic experience! The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is extremely clean and well maintained. Parking is easy. The food was delicious and exactly how we ordered it. We ordered The Hen House, The Travis (with chicken instead of ham) and The Southern Boy Wrap. The chicken was very tender! We also ordered a side of scrambled eggs and three orders of crispy hash browns. All perfectly cooked.
Coffee: We ordered iced vanilla latte, iced mocha latte and an Americano

Super cute little restaurant that has all the old-school hometown feeling of our youth. Great atmosphere. Friendliest people around, both patrons and staff.

We decided to try this place after reading the sweet little story about its history. Proud to support businesses with Christian values.

Enjoyed a very filling, very tasty breakfast for two for under thirty dollars. Welcoming and great service. We will be back!

ADD 05/09/25 finally got back here, this time for lunch. Great food and great service again!

We stopped for lunch while traveling through and hit the gold mine. The food was DELICIOUS and the staff was very friendly. The shrimp and grits dish was the best I’ve had. The grist were a perfect consistency and had a great blend of spices. The Cuban sandwich was great and had thick slices of meats. The Philly Sub was just the right size. Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely awesome. The food was perfect, and they cooked the eggs to perfection. My eggs were textbook over-medium, and my wife’s eggs were textbook over-easy. The service was great. Each one of the waitresses that came to speak to us were very sweet. I also appreciate the fact that there were at least 6 feet between the tables. We will absolutely be back. I think we found our new breakfast place!!!

Found this hidden gem while visiting Wingate University. Very clean place with a rustic modern country vibe. Great staff! The food… it’s southern! It’s like being at Grandmas on the weekend and getting a full plate of awesomeness! For the northerners, liver mush is scrapple!

Slow day on a Saturday, but the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. Right in little downtown Marshville. The wait staff took good care of us, even though we stayed right up until close (2:30).

Went there for breakfast with my husband. So here are mine cons and pros:

1. Good coffee which is a rare find

2.Sparkling clean bathrooms and very neat and inviting clean atmosphere inside the café

3.Beautiful story of the beyond the café

4.Affordable prices

5.Old town atmosphere outside of the café with some nice antique stores

Cons:
1. In our opinion the food is average. We ordered waffle and chicken. So it’s basically was a plain waffle and two grilled pieces of chicken on the top and sauce. Nothing extra. We expected a salad on the side and chicken to be served cutted or something but nope nothing just plain waffle with two big pieces of grilled chicken . we also ordered pancakes they were good , but if you won’t order strawberries and maple syrup on the side it’s gonna be just plain pancakes no whip cream no butter, nothing just stock of plain pancakes

2.When the waitress asked us how was everything we say our opinion in a nice way we said that it was OK but not very good and her response was “hm” . so I would suggest to improve the service we didn’t expect our food to be replaced or something but at least she can say something.

Probably will go back sometime because it’s nearest to where we live and a good coffee is a deal breaker for me ,so probably I will give it a second shot

Great ambiance, popular for Sunday lunch.
Not the biggest portions, but just right and quality ingredients.
I wasn’t a fan of the Cajun ranch on the Beaver Dam sandwich, too sharp but not enough kick. I should have just ordered something else for my pallette.
Cute place

Our new favorite! Modern atmosphere, down home cooking with cheerful service! Right in downtown Marshville, down the street from the (antique) store featured in The Color Purple.
Chicken and waffles were something to put a smile on your face. Can’t wait to taste what they have for lunch and dinner (another day! )
