Our first dinner spot after road tripping from Gilbert, AZ to my home town of Jacksonville, FL! Bono’s was just as wonderful as ever. Excellent and incredibly fast service. Wonderful sweet tea. All the bbq was cooked perfectly. The fried okra was so good. My salad was divine. It was a huge hit!!

I had the “small” chicken platter for lunch…$12. Opted for collard greens and blackeyed peas (the daily special side veggie) as the sides. Two thighs and a leg, perfectly smoked, very moist, tender, and delicious. The greens and peas were outstanding. Excellent sweet tea, too. Great service. Best lunch I’ve had in ages, especially for the money.

I had 24 people coming for dinner the next day – and I was left hanging by Valley Smoke. A friend suggested Bono’s – and Boy Howdy! Jeremy saved the day!! The best barbecue meal ever, perfect service with a smile, no pretense or ‘on-line’ attitude. This will be my forever barbecue party caterer place.

This is my husband and I favorite location! The food here is so fresh and delicious! Had some baby backs the other day that literally fell off the bone. Customer service is top of the line. Lew is the grill master!!!! Definitely worth the drive if your not in the Jax Beach area.

Stopped by for lunch, staff was friendly and attentive. Got the 2 meat platter. The brisket was melt in your mouth and the turkey was moist with an excellent smoky flavor.

I travel all over the United States and leave a lot of reviews on barbecue joints. I would rank this one the best in Jacksonville if not in the state of Florida. When you come here enjoy the rich baked beans, the brisket and even the turkey is awesome! Tell owners Shawnda and Lou Hank said hello.
