Beautiful flavors, thick creamy sauces, giant Samosas (with included Tamarind and Mint Chutney), savory garlic naan and great overall menu. The butter chicken (comes with rice) was amazing. Though this place might be in a mall food court, it’s some of the best Indian I’ve had in a long time. Friendly service and made from a kitchen in the back, not just prepackaged frozen food headed up. I did spice level 3 which was perfect – without it being too much and there’s plenty left for leftovers later. They also have combo specials with different options if you order at the counter. Will definitely be back.

Such an amazing hole in the wall! I typically don’t expect mall food to be as good as this restaurant provided. I would like them in a larger space asap!! The samosa chaat was PERFECT. My coworker order the Naan Taco. This thing is HUGE! And also a 10/10! Will be back monthly ‍ didn’t even have time to snap photos of a full plate it was so authentic.

My mom & I ordered the buffet # 1 & 2.
We enjoyed our decent portions of chicken curry, chicken korma, butter chicken & Tikka masala. The buffet 2 offers a small portion of appetizers &;a generous portion of Naan. We ordered the garlic naan & it was amazing! We also enjoyed a side order of hot chai tea.

Been wanting to come.hwre forever, and finally decided too, man I been missing out. The food was fantastic, we got Cheese Naan bread which is so easy to make, but theirs was so much better than anyone else’s. We also got the chicken kabobs and they were fantastic, looking forward to come back soon.

The best Indian Food around. Authentic, fresh, delicious. I haven’t had Indian food this delicious since I lived in metro Denver. Highly recommend making the trip to the South Hill mall just for this place. You have to try it. The butter chicken is to die for and the Naan is right out of the oven. Highly recommended.

We stopped by for the 1st time on our visit to Puyallup. Craving to try some authentic Indian dishes like chole bhatura, paratha ,etc. It was the most delicious chole bhature we ever had in a decade in Seattle. Freshly made & tasty!!!
Love the casual atmosphere in open mall , customer service was great as well.

I ordered door dash from this place expecting typical restaurant portions, it was very generous and I have a whole meal for tomorrow. The food was very good and flavorful. Zero complaints. The samosas were very filling and I probably could have just ordered those for my dinner and not bought anything else.

I decided to try this very highly rated Indian restaurant in the South Hill Mall I read about. Sizzlin Spice is set in the Mall’s food court, and I thought it was an interesting place for such highly rated Indian cuisine. They have a ton of food options, many familiar dishes, and a wide variety of Indian street food you can try if you can’t make it to Kolkata anytime soon.  I decided to try some basics; the Lamb Curry, which was full of flavor, deep and rich in spices and curry gravy, which it also came with turmeric basmati rice, light in aromatics but nicely cooked. The lamb was so tender that I was able to separate the chunks of lamb with the plastic spoon they had available, though I wish I had just brought rubber gloves so I could just use my hands. I also ordered the Pani Puri. I ordered it all “to-go” so the Puri came in a cardboard food container along with a small plastic container full of an aloo(potato) and onion mixture with light spices as well as a plastic cup full of spiced Puri water that was full of flavor, fresh tasting mint and other aromatics. It wasn’t the “best” Pani Puri I’ve had, but it was one of the most affordable I’ve come across, at $6.99 or so.

All in all, the food was very good, which surprised me coming from a mall food court.  The only “downside” was it was in the middle of a mall, but that could also be viewed as an asset by some. I was getting a mix of looks from fellow mall-goers, which I found slightly uncomfortable, but those looks were mainly of curiosity rather than judgment. It sorta reminded me of being the only Igorot-Filipino/ American kid eating exotic food at lunchtime at an all white-American school during the early 80s, but the overall experience was fun and enjoyable. A strong recommendation, especially if you’re looking for a casual setting or you are looking for convenient Indian cuisine and street food.

*UPDATE* I’ve been revisiting this restaurant and enjoying their dishes. The staff continues their friendliness and quality cooking. I just picked up some Lamb Saag and when asked if I wanted naan bread I declined. The server asked me again and when I declined he insisted I have some garlic naan for free. Again, they have wonderful service and hospitality and really make a wonderful visit and experience.
