Was skeptical to eat here because of the negative reviews but I had a great first experience. Food was fresh and delicious and the service was great. I got sesame chicken and vegetable yakisoba. It came with egg roll and fried rice and egg drop soup as well! Big portions and delicious, will come again!

It’s sad to be leaving a poor review about this place, but service is everything in the restaurant business. Tonight on the evening of Tuesday the 16th of December my boyfriend, his sister, her husband, and I went to go eat dinner at Oriental Garden as we are regulars there. We are known by first name by most staff, and they normally know what we’re eating off the bat, but they still ask what we’re ordering to make sure we’re not changing it up a little. We usually are treated with respect, but tonight was a bit different. Our server, Rose is the name she gave us, smelled of alcohol. It almost seemed each time she came back to the table the alcohol smell got stronger and stronger, as she was slurring her words as well. We were rushed on our orders, even though we had just sat down with no menus. She didn’t get our orders right, and our drinks didn’t come out until after the food had been set down on the table. It seemed as if she were yelling at the Doordashers, and the cooks/owners themselves. This is one of our go-to spots to eat, sadly we’ll be taking a break for awhile because of the poor service. She almost blatantly acknowledged that she was being rude towards us, as she continued she had decided to hit on my sister’s husband (yes people get hit on I get it, but knowing they’re married is a different story). I hate to be leaving a bad review, but in her own words, “THERE AIN’T NO SHAME IN MY GAME!”.

This is our favorite oriental restaurant in Anchorage. We celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday there with all his favorite dishes, friends and family. Susan and the crew bent over backwards to make it a wonderful and memorable celebration that he’ll never forget. Thank you all so much! We’ll be in soon! ❤️

We placed a pick up order and spent $80 between the two of us only to be missing items. I ordered the chow mein only to go home and open my container to stir fried chicken and cabbage, no noodles. Really disappointed given the amount we spent.

There’s a lot of chatter, “where’s the best Chinese in Anchorage”. Here’s the scoop. Remember back in the day, when you came home from church on a Sunday and your mom ordered Chinese food? Then you watched Kung fu movies on cable tv, while you ate sweet and sour pork and felt you were “celebrating Chinese culture”? No, just me? Well let me tell you. This food is authentic Chinese American, and nostalgic. I’ve ordered 3 times and each time – it was delicious. The Mongolian beef and sweet/sour chicken was classic. DELICIOUS. Highly recommend.
It’s goooooood.

This was a pretty dark Chinese restaurant. Generally you’re use to seeing windows with restaurants but I know they also support bar activities so maybe that was why. The service was really good. The main problem was the cleanliness. If you look up in this restaurant you can see the ceiling fan had some dust caked on the blades. Also the bottles of alcohol on display on the top shelf all had some great amount of dust as well. Surly all of these fall on the food as well. So not sure how it is in the back unfortunately. The food was also pretty pricy for no reason. Should be around the $10-$20 area. Otherwise I did eat and it was pretty tasty.

I work for a delivery service and went to pick up an order for a customer. They stated they did not have a time frame for the order to be ready. I politely expressed my concern over the issue. The first lady I interacted with was very respectful and apologized for the inconvenience. Then out of no where, what I assume was a supervisor or higher up, came out and was extremely rude with out me saying anything and ultimately lead to her telling me to leave with out little to no interaction from my side with her. I’ve eaten here in the past as well and have not been very impressed with thier service then either but did not leave a review as I try to give places a second chance. It is very disappointing ro have some one not care about the quality of thier service. At this point, from now on, I will be advising people not to eat here due to thier very rude and inconsiderate attitude over a very simple issue. There are many other places with good food and service to chose from here and would highly recommend choosing them over this vendor.

After we went and sat down the sever smelled like alcohol and I ordered broccoli beef from there and the food was cold besides the rice and then the sever was giving us attitude in her words she said she has no shame no game. I didnt understand that but other than that she had the worst drunken attitude.

My experience lately hasn’t been very good, our server “Rose” was rude and giving us attitude. She cut us off when we tried to order our meal and drinks and blatantly acknowledged that she was being rude to us. I understand working “2 double shifts” can be tiring but it was appalling how we were treated, not to mention that she smelled like she’d been drinking alcohol. Other dashers that were there for their orders had to repeatedly remind her of which order they were waiting on because of how much she drank, does the owner of Oriental Garden really allow this type of behavior? If so that’s sad and unprofessional.
