My wife ordered three subs. All three subs were messed up. They put the wrong condiments on them and we had to pick off what we didn’t like. I called back to talk to the person working that night and they told us to come back in and they will fix the problem. I was already home after a long day at work and didn’t wanna go back so they said they will take my name down and replace the subs on our next visit. I went back two days later to get the subs that were prepared correctly. On the second visit, two employees were working, and when I walked in, they just looked at me. I was not greeted. They didn’t smile. They just looked at me like a deer in the headlight. I brought my receipt back to show them what I ordered so they can fix the problem. The guy that was at the counter. He took the receipt and wrote everything down and he still messed the orders up. I requested my sub be toasted and they didn’t do that and they still didn’t put the correct condiments on them. Fast forward I waited one day and I decided to go to the store to talk to the manager just so they can do better again. I walked in and there is two guys at the front counter and they just looked at me, they didn’t say, can I help you or anything so finally I asked to speak with a manager. The guy at the front counter said he was a shift lead I said that’s cool, but I really want to talk to a manager. He said they don’t have a manager so I asked him so there’s not a manager at the store at all. He told me that the manager was off for the day so I asked for the manager’s name so I can contact them later and discuss my issues. The guy at the counter said he couldn’t give me the manager‘s name because it was a HIPAA violation. Bottom line I will never eat at that store again and I recommend nobody else eat there. They didn’t say thank you, they didn’t smile. They were just rude people. If you want a nice sandwich, I suggest you go to McAlister’s deli. They have excellent chicken tortilla soup and the sandwiches are awesome. Last but not least the staff there spoke with you. They said please and thank you.

First off I see a trend. Last night my fiance and I came to FireHouse Subs around 8:35pm to eat. Let me note this was not the first time we have felt un-welcomed here by the same employee. The first time we never said anything. There were two employees working.. One was a stockier build in a black shirt and the other was a very skinny guy with glasses and a mustache. The skinny guy with the mustache was the rude employee.
We ordered our sandwiches and sat down to eat. My meatball sub I ordered was barely warm but I didn’t say anything about it. It was around 8:40 by the time we got our sandwiches. We sat down and began eating and he started staring at us the whole time we were eating our sandwiches. It was very awkward and uncomfortable but we left it alone. Trying to be mindful of time we were actually watching my watch to make sure we could try to get out by 9pm. In the process of this, I noticed the clock on the wall was 4-6 min faster than my watch, which my Apple watch is internet time and what everyone else goes by.
I glanced over again and he was staring at us while he was mopping, finished mopping, then stood at the register facing the black clock on the wall and holding his wrist up in the air staring at both the watch and the clock for a couple of minutes then looking at us. By this time it was getting ridiculous so we began to ignore him. He then leaned up against the back counter staring at us while we were eating.
We had 6 min left before it was a true closing time and he finally huffs and says “Fair Warning in 30 seconds I’m going to lock this door so you better hurry up”. I wont be disrespected so I looked at him and said “Fair Warning when I’m done Ill unlock the door and leave”. He then stated he knew the clock was fast but they were done. I then proceeded to tell him he was rude and I wasn’t going to deal with it. We finished our sandwiches and left.
You clearly have an issue with employee performance and from reading the reviews its not being fixed. If you can’t do any better than to keep people like that employed we will be happy to switch to somewhere way better where food and service will be taken serious as well as to ensure everyone we know avoids the place. I suggest you take a look at your cameras if you have any and watch the ridiculous shenanigans from this individual. Why would you employ someone like this? If he talked to someone like that outside of an establishment he would probably wouldn’t be as lucky. You need to teach this guy some manners, respect, and/or fire him or your store will be a liability and your business will not be successful. I’m more than happy to discuss further with you but this shouldn’t be tolerated. On a side note, the stockier guy in the black shirt was professional, nice, and after I had words with the other kid, the gentleman in the black shirt walked by me and didn’t say a word nor provoke any trouble at all.

This a door dash was a door dash order so my service rating is based upon the issues with the sandwich and missing items . Diet Coke is flat tastes like soda syrup if it is even diet coke might be diet coke mixed with tea! missing my chips and my pickle. Ordered no tomatoes got extra tomatoes. Sandwich tasted fine just had to remove tomatoes and the sandwich was upside down in the container so the top of the bread was soggy with the sauce. X

Great food, but too bad that your staff locks the door 20 minutes early (while leaving the open sign on) – on a Friday, no less. Staff knew a customer was at the door too. Ran restaurants for decades myself: Closing time is when the door gets locked and sales stop, not when the staff leaves.

Store closes at 9pm and I came at 8:38p – 22 minutes before closing. Doors were already locked and I watched the associate turn away another customer. When I walked up he unlocked the door and said “he could try to make a sandwich in 10 minutes…”. I understand it’s the end of the day but don’t turn away customers until you actually should be closed.

Love going here about 2-4 times a week. Have been going for years. Food is good and consistent. Staff cares and is friendly. Have been to other locations that are less friendly. Paradise point location in West Des Moines, is amazing. Love Addie, Hunter, and Eddie. Always friendly, helpful, and professional. Will continue going as long as the experience is as good as it has been for me. Highly recommend the West Des Moines location staff. Thanks guys!!

My husband and I placed an online order at 8:26 pm at the location on 460 S 68th Street West Des Moines, IA 50266 and arrived at 8:44pm with a closing time of 9:00pm to find our food sitting out at the front door in the elements and around bugs. I then called the store because I could see the associate walking around and the associate answered the call and after I asked the question as to why my food was sitting outside he hung up on me. I then knocked on the door of the store that should have still been opened based off the store hours and they watched me and did not answer. I will be calling the manager in the morning along with corporate. This is unacceptable and disgusting!!!

The food was alright and we got our sandwiches quick, but the establishment itself was disgusting. The ice dispenser in the soda machine was filthy- it was covered in multiple different colors of like pop syrup and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The men’s restroom had a pungent odor of urine, and it was a single person one as well. The floors were not very clean either. I won’t be coming back.

Holy heck. This past weekend was the first time I’ve had Firehouse Subs. I was NOT disappointed. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Turkey sandwich. It was delicious! Juicy, sweet, savory. I will definitely be coming back.
