There isn’t a whole lot to say about the food, except that it was surprisingly decent. Nothing offensive, nothing alarming. They offer both regular and pan crust pizzas. The pan crust was slightly undercooked and pretty bland, but the regular crust had a good crunch, though it was a bit too dough-y for my taste.
Cambridge Pizza makes a solid pizza. Don’t expect a NY slice; their dough is fluffy yet crisp. To give you an idea, it’s somewhere between hand-tossed and pan pizza from that popular chain. Having worked at a pizzeria for a couple years, I learned some tricks about pizza dough. And you can tell the folks at Cambridge know those tricks – they properly proof the dough so it comes out airy but with a crispy bottom and edge.
The toppings are good quality. I ordered a meat lover’s and the meats were solid, but nothing stood out as extraordinary topping-wise. I’d definitely buy from them again though, based a lot on the merit of their crust. Have I mentioned the dough?…
I ordered late-night delivery on a Thursday night from less than a mile away. They estimated 30-45 minutes, which I think is just standard operating procedure, because I received the order less than 20 minutes after I entered it online.
Bottom line – Cambridge Pizza makes a decent pie, better than many I’ve had across this country. And I had absolutely no issues with the order and delivery process, though those were mainly automated. And if I’m in this area again there’s a pretty good chance I’ll order again. The major thing I can’t comment on is price; I haven’t ordered enough pizzas in Boston to have an idea about value. Happy pizza eating!
===>The special thing is the Staff, they are very understanding of the customer, polite…& I would like to mention in particular Mr.#Fuad*****;a Professional Chef .
Their pizza is akin to 2Bros Pizza in New York City. You get huge slices. And there’s just something special about the pizza dough. The crust is more like a buttery/bready texture, more similar to the crust of a Chicago deep dish pizza.
No, they’re not a fancy sit-down restaurant, but they sure make a damn good slice of pizza! Plus, they’re open late until 4am on weekends! If you’re craving pizza at any hour, this is the place to go to.
