Ignore the reviews of people who didn’t even eat here. I’ve eaten pizza all over the world as I travel for a living. This place has delicious gluten free crust and fresh ingredients. It has that wood fire taste you come to expect with such an oven. Highly recommend!

Leaving a one star after my only two experiences here that were both just strange.

1. Came on a Tuesday and was charged a 2$ service charge because on 2 for 1 Tuesdays you need to order a drink. Had I know that, I would have ordered one. But again the server never informed.

2. Came again and there was all kinds of strangeness. First, I was charged a dollar for a box because I asked for the second pizza to go, however my friend wasn’t charged for his box because he didn’t ASK for his to go, but took it to go….

Next, she told us to each pay half of the total bill amount even though we ordered different pizzas at different price points saying that they don’t split bills on Tuesdays…

Anyway, when I spoke to the waitress about not being told about the box charge or the other issues she tried to bring my friend into the convo saying that he should know about it, she then said “this is what the tell us to do”.. when I simply said that whether they upcharge or add service charges for non-ordering of drinks etc they just NEED to inform the guest she just stared at me and asked if I wanted my dollar.

Zero customer service. Zero transparency. Zero accountability.

Oh and when she asked if I wanted a copy of my reciept and I replied no, she said okay I’ll just burn it???

Avoid this place if you can because 2 for 1 pizza isn’t worth it when you have to deal with this.

Good pizza (that being said, I still prefer Windsor style pizza for its crust and flavour), but the Caesar we ordered didn’t taste like Caesar salad at all. ‍♀️ Pizza was good for a more traditional style, though.

Two for one Pizza Tuesdays is the best deal in Windsor. Arrive early as it gets busy. Overflow seating is outside on the patio.

Wood fired pizza oven is unique.

The staff are great the 4 pizzas we had weŕe excellent.

We heard great things about the pizza here. It was recommended by a few people as well. We didn’t even eat here. We walked in and were greeted with dirty looks from every one. The male server told us it was symphony night and the female waiter said they could seat us if we order and eat quick. My husband and I just turned and walked out. We didn’t get to eat and wouldn’t return if we ever were back here.
See 5 star review of Mootz pizza for the best pizza we’ve ever had and a welcoming dining experience in Detroit.

Ordered 2 for 1 pizzas today and me and my friend got the same pizza, one was burnt, one was raw. One had a bunch of toppings the other had barely any. Consistently seems to be a big issue here, plus they charge you fees on such small things that the 2 for 1 pizzas almost end up being the same price anyway. Especially since they also charged me more for the pizzas than the price listed online.

Terra Cotta Pizza – A family review

(Our quest to find the best pizza place in Windsor)

Review #8 (See Sarducci’s East for review #7)

$54 for 4 individual pizzas (6 slices each).

Terra Cotta is a nice little spot. You can dine in or take out. It would be a great place to sit in the summer as there is a patio out front. Sitting inside on a Winter Day would be nice too. It’s a cozy spot that reminds me of New York or Chicago.

Pre taste – 7 – The look reminded me of little Caesars pizza a bit, except a lot thinner.

Cheese – 6 – It was pretty hard to taste the cheese and sauce at times because the pizza is extremely thin. There’s not much to it

Sauce – 6 – Same as cheese, the pizza is pretty salty. It definitely takes away from the quality of the pizza.

Crust – 7 – Crust was pretty good. Nice and crunchy. A lot of it though. Definitely not for you if you’re not a fan of crust.

Overall – 6 – I really wanted to love this pizza. The restaurant has charm and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately the pizza is more like frozen pizza you can buy from the grocery store. It’s very pricey for the quantity and quality offered. As I said, the pizza was very salty. It really is a last moment option. Or because they serve alcohol, having a slice with a beer. I would not recommend Terra Cotta to anyone who’s never had it before.

Final family score – 63%

Experienced outdoor, patio dining in a casual setting. If you like thin, wood burning style pizza, this is an excellent place especially when visiting downtown Windsor. Good wine selection. Service was fast. I liked the offering of various olive oils to accompany your pizza. Excellent selection of toppings and variations. Also, vegan friendly. I will return hopefully with an espresso to finish.

Great pizzas! Very high-quality ingredients, and they take their time making it right. Prices are a bit high for such small pies, but you sometimes get what you pay for, and this is such a place. When I’m next craving a higher-quality pizza, I’ll be coming back.
