This place used to be my absolute favorite spot in town but since they changed ownership it’s just gone downhill. I’ve ordered around 5/6 times since it changed and normally my rice was tasty and moist as rice should be but recently it’s been bland and crunchy as if it’s stale or old or just not cooked right. My sushi roll today has brown avocado that looks like it’s been sitting out too long and looks unappealing. My boyfriends rice is the same in his hibachi platter, and it’s hard to keep liking this place, especially when you’re paying $40 for one meal, two sushi rolls and a side of rice. This is a treat for us and it’s been really dissatisfying as of late. Id love to keep coming back if you guys could fix the quality back to what it used to be, but unfortunately it’s just not worth the price lately.

Absolutely loved this place! The steak was tender, full of flavor, and cooked just right. Everything on the plate tasted fresh and well-prepared.
The onion soup was a standout — light, savory, and surprisingly rich in flavor. One of those simple blessings that makes you thank the Lord for good food and good moments.
The customer service was just as great — friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. I’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I LOVE this place! It’s almost always our go-to for takeout. Our experience is always great! The drive through is great, with little wait time. The food is AMAZING. We are always saying that we hope they never ever close because it is the BEST hibachi in Mooresville! Tasty, Quick, wonderful overall! Definitely check it out!

It hurts to say this but what I wouldn’t do for one last Tokyo plate I have been a customer here forever since mommy song was telling stories in the dining area it was the spot. The food was always great and I would spend big money here. It kills me to say that Tokyo has went full blown City Sushi!!! If you know you know watch south park if you need context. The plate is now 95% rice, shrimp are a quarter of the size they used to be. Steak is less-veggies is less-shrimp sauce Is watered down. I almost cried it will never be the same again we’ll miss you Tokyo RIP!!! They lost a great customer today.

I’ve been coming here since 2012 when I moved to Mooresville, their chicken was always the best quality and loved their teriyaki sauce more the other places. I just ordered since it’s opened after a few weeks of being down, and man I must say it’s like losing an old friend. The sauce and completely different and now the chicken I just greasy like crazy, maybe it’s the sauce I’m not sure but I will miss this place forever.

Absolutely a hidden gem in the Mooresville area of North Carolina. The carrots in the combo bowl are sweet and pair extremely well with the savory flavor of the chicken and steak. The service was excellent and the owner and Brenda are amazing.
