What surprised me even more was walking in to see the kitchen already being cleaned up — even though there was still an hour left before closing. It felt like they were rushing to wrap up for the night, and the quality of the food reflected that. The wings were falling apart and looked nothing like what was advertised. I’ll be posting photos so others can see for themselves.
Honestly, I’m very disappointed. I may give them another chance during the day to see if the experience improves, but I definitely would not recommend ordering late in the evening. For the price, it just wasn’t worth it.
Update:
I ordered a pizza and wings for delivery. The food was better the second time around. I’ll give them 4 stars for food and service. Much better
The first thing I noticed was that the mac and cheese seemed to be made for the purpose of being put on a pizza. It was a little drier (which you want, because you’re adding barbecue sauce and more cheese) and used penne noodles, so it was very obviously made in house. And the pork appeared to be homemade and was unsauced (which, again, you want because you’re going to add barbecue sauce later). At most places, what you end up with is just a mess of too many sauces and cheeses, which results in a pizza that is super floppy, hard to eat and just not very palatable.
But, this barbecue mac and cheese pizza is legit. It’s the best you’ll find in town. Anyway, I rambled this long because I want potential readers of this review to know that I am, in fact, overly finicky when it comes to barbecue pizzas, and to trust me when I say that you won’t find a better one in town.
We also got the dill pickle pizza. I don’t like pickles so I didn’t try it, but my partner said it was better than the other two she’d tried around town.
