A classic old school dinner. They have American classics and unique specials, they rewrite the specials (breakfast and dinner) everyday so there is always something new on the menu. The prices are extremely fair and if it is a little more expensive you are gonna get a lot of food! I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to come! If you are looking for a spot to become a regular this is the one.

This place is a time capsule. Down home cooking at its best. We went on a Wednesday for Fried Chicken Wednesday’s. More chicken than you can eat, bread, and 2 sides for $11!!!
The chicken was outstanding. Hot, juicy, and not oily. I had the dark meat chicken (5 out of 5), pinto beans with onions (4 out of 5), mashed potatoes and gravy (3 out of 5) and jalapeno cornbread (3 out of 5). But the hospitality and environment made it all a great visit.
I come to Greensboro for a week a month and this place will be going into the rotation, as long as my cholesterol stays under control 🙂

Love eating here. Food is delicious, the staff is so friendly. The best pancakes I’ve ever had. Makes you feel at home.

Hmm, this was a tough one to rate. Personally I enjoyed the staff and down home country feel of the place. I’m a southern boy myself so good old fashion country I do well at times. The downside was the food was not impressive. It was okay but not much to talk about. There were dishes that I really enjoyed and other that I thought were more of something I’d find further north where taste isn’t as important. Overall the food was good enough to go back for specific menu items but others just lacked in flavor.
To be fair my son said that the cheesesteak was a close second for him. He has one in most every place that we try so I’d say he’s trust worthy.

Great place reasonable prices good service. Just good old comfort food one of my favorite dishes. Here is the clam chowder and order a side of shrimp in it. Been here dozens of time and never had a bad experience.

Had never been here. I ordered a burger, it didn’t look like no hamburger meat I’ve ever had. I didn’t eat it. My husband called it mystery meat.

This place is wonderful, always good food and friendly staff. The only downside is that it’s CASH ONLY but worth the stop by an ATM.

While waiting for a text from the DMV, we decided to find a place close by that served REAL food & this place is the ticket! You step inside and it’s Mayberry, I Love Lucy and all days of ol’ memorabilia welcoming you along with friendly service, too! Generously sized sausage, egg & cheese biscuit was excellent for the price (2 for a total of $8.11!), cooked hot and tasty. Then ordered chocolate chip pancakes to go-yummy!
Country cooking down the road from the DMV (2 minute drive, 18 minute walk) and not far from UNCG (5 minute drive)
If you have to wait for the DMV, you might as well eat & enjoy!☺️
