I just spent my time and hard earned money on a plate of ravioli’s absolutely covered in parsley, gee yum. It was served on top of my salad, which was nothing special no crouton, no cherry tomatoe, no fresh cracked pepper offered, no dressing choice either just a thick italian on greens. Best part, nobody even checked back to see if my $32 raviolis were good. They were not thanks to a ton of parsely. I did not even get a dinner fork. Sadly, the bartender had to use his own employee discount to compensate me for being out over $40 for parsley laden cheese raviolis. The owners need to train the cooks not to ruin meals with excessive parsley. I will not return. Btw, the lobster ravioli’s taste like tunafish. I tried those once. Two strikes, I’m out. Ambiance is great though.

This place is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Sac area hands down. The lasagna is amazing & a great portion for the price. The have the best old fashioned in all of Sac! The service is top notch & ambiance is perfect. Make sure to make reservations, many people love this place like I do so it’s gets packed quickly. Come here, you will not regret it!

Our family loves this restaurant, it is honestly the best pasta in Sacramento. Our Italian family is thankful that we have a place to go out to eat that serves fantastic Italian food. We also love the pesto sauce and the chicken and eggplant parmesan. The staff is courteous, professional and they treat you like family. Thanks Sampino’s for being so welcoming and have wonderful Italian food!

I was very excited to try the food, as it had been recommended by a friend. The host was very nice and sat me at the bar.
However, the bartender, who had seen me being seated, completely ignored me. He was chatting with his “bar buddies” and gave me no acknowledgment for a full ten minutes.
If he had been busy, I can understand, but I felt ignored and disappointed, and I had to leave! He needs an attitude adjustment! By the way , it was Wednesday at 540pm.

First time here. Good energy, it was already busy right after work but we fortunately were able to get seated as soon as we arrived. The staff was friendly. The walls are filled with sports and Italian memorabilia. Gangster films were playing on the two tvs near the bar area, which further added to the nostalgia the restaurant is attempting to invoke within its patrons. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. The food itself was average despite providing hearty servings. I ordered the eggplant parmesan and the eggplant was slightly mushy for my preference. The gnocchi was good, but nothing that separates itself from other gnocchi I’ve had in the past. Overall, this is a great place to meet people for happy hour after work or to have a quick meal, but I wouldn’t consider this place fine dining.
