Classic diner with all American dishes. Employees were kind and had a nice communal feel. I enjoyed my hungry man dish for under $20. Worth visiting for breakfast cravings.

This is an amazing place. The owner Jake is very friendly and checks on everyone. The other employees are great too.
The food was amazing. Scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, toast, home fries, and the kielbasa were in order for us on Sunday. There was even some locally made pineapple hot sauce.
The decor and vibe were great as well. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Thanks Mr. Jake, hope to be back often if my child goes college in your town!

Hey, just wanted to let you know about our experience at the restaurant. The service was so slow, we almost walked out. And to top it off, the place was unclean. But we didn’t want to insult the workers. The worst part was when the server coughed all over our food before serving it. And then to make matters worse, he had cheese from his thumb stuck to my omelet. Yuck. And they even forgot the fries we ordered. The coffee was disgusting and the steak omelette had a nasty taste. And don’t even get me started on how greasy everything was. The omelettes were as thin as a sheet of paper. And to add insult to injury, we had to ask for a straw with the orange juice. Plus, the prices were higher than what was listed on the menu. Can you believe it? And to top it all off, we saw someone go behind the bar and cash register area to get a cloth to clean their own table. Definitely not a high-class place. Not recommended at all.

Nice gem for a decent meal at a reasonable price. It’s nothing fancy, but I was able to get an omelette with home fries and toast for $8.99. The staff was also incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you’re not looking for anything fancy and just want a decent bite to eat with good prices, this restaurant will suit you well.

As I was really looking for a.great experience, unfortunately the service was not of a great diner. The waitress there were nice but when asked if I wanted more coffee I said yes and I thought she went to get the pot but started talking to other customers. Never came back. And never checked on us after breakfast plates where served.

Very good customer care. I came here from Atlanta for Mother’s Day. I saw the place online because of pancakes. The owner greeted me with warmth and said come on I got you. Didn’t know they closed at 1 pm on Sundays. A small glitch on the website for that day said later. Come to find out they know my sister and husband and well as her business; Kenya’s Massage Studio in Old Saybrook.

We went on their busiest day of their existence. They were slammed. So let me tell you that it was worth the wait. The staff are amazing. They were treading water (with incredible grace) in a hurricane of customers. And they were kind and clever and made delicious food in an atmosphere befitting of this blue collar town. We returned the Monday after to support them again and to have some more of the chef’s awesome hot sauce.
