We went here on a Saturday night 45 minutes before closing. The waitress told us they were closing soon at 9 and asked us to do take out but we declined since we live far and asked to be seated to dine in. Ten more people came in after us with her telling them the same. 5 were upset but agreed, but the last 5 declined and said it would take them more than 30 minutes to eat. This was not appropriate and I think bad for business. If you want to close earlier then change your hours not turn people away wanting to dine in. The carnitas are delicious though and the tacos are loaded and filling. We even took some home for Sunday morning. The same waitress that was trying to turn people away was rushing an older woman that was alone and messed up her order and they began arguing because she didn’t give her what she ordered. Lady was very upset and this made for a terrible dine in experience here.

It’s really disappointing that a place like this would serve chicharrones that were clearly double‑fried. The carnitas and cueritos had an unpleasant, almost rancid taste, as if the lard had been reused multiple times. The entire meal was just disgusting. I can’t believe I spent $100 on food that was this bad.

Carnitas had no flavor at all , got barbacoa as well. $54 bucks down the drain .. I would not recommend this place @ all !! Zero Stars

With a restaurant named Carnitas I should have ordered Carnitas. Instead I ordered Chicken Enchilada with green sauce. The best things about my meal in decending order was Chips and Salsa, Refried Beans, Rice and last Chicken Enchiladas. The Chip and Salsa and Refried Beans were both very good with excellent flavor, texture and visual appeal. The rice looked good but lacked flavor. The chicken in the Chicken Enchiladas had little flavor and had an unusually fine texture like it was shredded in a food processor. This was not a dish that I would order again.

Me and my daughter’s keep coming back here for over 4 years already, place change ownership but food is same and better, barbacoa de borrego is the best, and any other food that we order anytime is great!

Delicious pork carnitas. Jucy and tender fresh carnitas. They also have pork belly ribs and sking boil in there own fat. Anyways, the best carnitas in aurora….

Visited on a work trip. Nice place. Clean and staff very friendly.
Ordered carne asada torta and carnitas tacos (since carnitas are their specialty).
The steak in the torta was very well seasoned and the carnitas were delicious.
Even the tomatillo salsas were nice and spicy.
Only gripe?
The carnitas were very greasy and that upset my stomach.
I would recommend and even try again (maybe I got the carnitas from the bottom of the pan?)
