We had an enjoyable meal at Jekyl and Hyde Taphouse this evening. The service was acceptable, though nothing particularly memorable. The atmosphere was pleasant and had a feel reminiscent of the sets from the musical Wicked. However, we were seated immediately next to the patio door, which created a frequent distraction. Staff opened and closed the squeaking door again and again (and again!) — roughly every 30 seconds.
When we were seated, our server was friendly, though somewhat quirky. We assumed this may have been part of the restaurant’s theme. We had to ask for a cocktail menu since one wasn’t on the table or provided. We were told that none were available because all of them were “out and about.” Yet our server pressed us quickly for beverage decisions.
Overall, we enjoyed our visit and had a good meal. That said, there wasn’t anything especially distinctive or memorable about the experience that would motivate us to return in the near future. While satisfactory, service felt awkward and somewhat disjointed. We may or may not return.

Everything was fresh, delicious, and affordable especially for the quality and portion. We will be making this our go to stop whenever we go to Charlotte!! It’s right off the highway in a cute area. Came for brunch on Sunday around 1:30 and had no wait.

The foood was super yummmy!! That chocolate cake was to die for!!! I ate another place 2 weeks ago then stopped by here just for the chocolate cake!! Seriously the richest, goood with a big ol glass of milk. Looking forward to trying more food on ur menu, soon.

First off, be sure to ask for Owen if you can. He was an awesome waiter!! 5 stars for him alone! I have been wanting to try this place in Baxter village in Fort Mill South Carolina! The whole aesthetic of the steampunk style in this restaurant is awesome! I just loved looking around at the decor and watching the wait staff pass by my table with these smoky and bubbly drinks! Drinks that kind of emulated the feel of a science lab! So cool! I just knew I was in for a treat when I saw a neighboring table with this enormous hand rolled Bavarian pretzel. But we decided on the loaded potato nachos. I was really expecting their potatoes to be thin like a potato chip, I think they would have been a whole lot better if they were like that but who am I to say? They were cut thicker, more like a scalloped potato but they still were good. It reminded me more of a loaded potato skin. My boss got a bubbly cocktail that he didn’t care for but he didn’t take the time to read the description of what was in it, so serves him right . But it was certainly cool looking! We shared the filet mignon with their crispy brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Everything on the plate was delicious. Their beef is aged for 30 days or more and it showed, because it was fantastically tender. Everything on our plate was fantastic. This place has an overall cool vibe and great wait staff and a terrific location in the heart of Baxter village. Be sure to check it out. They have all types of fare on the menu. 12 out of 10!!!!

Sirloin was really nice, the potato could have had more butter if it had any at all.
The Cajun chicken pasta was bigger than it looks, a little more on the acidic side, but was really good when all ingredients are eaten together.

My very first time here did not disappoint. The atmosphere was amazing, pretty quiet but definitely welcoming. I’ll 100% be going back! The best part was my waitress Jordan. She did an amazing job explaining the menu items and answering any questions I had. She helped me pick the perfect cut of steak and offered to bring me samples of multiple beers so I could choose my favorite! Jordan also interacted very well with my kid. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely check out Jekyll and Hyde and make sure to ask for Jordan! Best waitress ever!!

Came in with my family a while ago and had Grace as our server. BEST SERVER EVER!! Literally constantly checked up on us, the food was perfect, she got us everything we needed with no hesitation and was so kind the entire time. My glass was never empty. I got the steak sandwich and requested it with no veggies and she made sure I got it exactly as I wanted. My mom got the flatbread with her own requirements and Grace made sure everything was just how we asked it to be. She’s the most patient and consistent server my family has had in a long time, and we always take note of server’s attitude, Grace is the definition of top tier server!!
