They have plenty of veggie options, along with sake and tempura. All the dishes are interesting and very flavorful, service is pretty quick as well.
I’ve tried the Veggie Tempura and Agedashi Tofu from the bites section. Both are delicious even though these are fairly simple dishes, as expected. Tempura is oily as expected and is something which I skipped the next time to try some of the many nicer items on the menu.
All the vegan sushis are awesome and I especially liked their Veggie Tiger Roll and spicy veggie roll. None of the ingredients, like cream cheese overpower the flavors – everything is well balanced and each ingredient stands out on its own. Yum!
It’s a cute and small restaurant and they do not take reservations- only walk-ins. So I’d suggest going with some time in hand or going at an odd time. It wasn’t too busy around 1:30 pm and we got a table for us pretty quickly.
So I don’t relish Sushi at all, but my sister spoke highly of Oh Baby Sushi.
She said I would love their innovative preparations.
And to my surprise, I loved a couple of dishes there – “Spicy veggie rolls” and “Call me nuts” sushi.
It’s a must try restaurant!!
Got free edamame tho
The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and fun
Small detail but big bonus: our server was observant and waited for our convo to finish before placing the plates between us.
Didn’t come by much but they came in time with a check-up/check as we’re ready/finished & ready to pay/leave. I enjoyed their service 🙂
Second and third times were also great ^^
First was their futomaki. Far more like an egg roll. You can see far more egg than any other ingredient. I’m am always disappointed with futomaki’s and this was no different. A roll with so much promise is ignored by most places and left to be banal at best. The best was at Ganko in SC, but long retired now.
Next up was the uni. Really fresh and tasted great. The presentation was unique. Served on a shell of deep fried rice (I’m guessing) very light and crisp. The uni was set next to the rice, not on it. Quite nice.
Lastly the hamachi… served with some sweet syrup drizzled on it. I really enjoy a hamachi nigiri. One of my favorites. This was a waste of good fish. Hard to enjoy the fish when your mouth is overwhelmed with a sugary syrup.
Finally, a bottle of cold sake… my usual go to, was far more than I have ever paid.
The 4 items totaled $100 with a 20% tip. The service was excellent.
