This was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had at a fast food joint. Hands down beats the heck out of kfc imo. Tater wedges were just as good and the cole slaw was perfection tho a bit sweet for most. I like it that way

We have passed this place for several years but finally decided to give it a try. The restaurant itself is older but well maintained and clean. I am happy tried it out, we tried both their regular chicken and chicken tenders. I got a two piece meal with a leg & thigh (my preference) and my husband got 2 tenders snack option which comes with a biscuit. Mine came with a biscuit and 2 sides. I got green beans and corn on the cob. Everything was delicious and their biscuits were better than Popeyes.

UPDATE ate here again on Sunday April 2025. No Complaints only compliments.I got combo number six. I will post pic. First time here 12-2019. Dined inside on a Sunday. Good looking buffet. The cashier Tim very helpful and polite. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Ordered the chicken strips, potato wedges, & sweet tea. Free refills. The inside decor does need repairs and updated. But I give the food & service 5 stars. The chicken was so tender. Potato wedges hot. Tea so good. Would recommend trying Lee’s Famous Recipe.

Food was good. My wife ordered a 2 piece strip meal with Cole slaw. She received a 2 piece chicken, no slaw. She decided to keep what was brought, but I pointed out on receipt that the slaw was missing, as well as order taker putting in wrong menu item.

How this place has gone down hill over the years. The chicken was cooked I really old grease. It was cooked to death, dry, tasteless other than the old grease taste. Mashed potatoes were awful- no flavor, no attempt at seasoning. Corn on the cob was hard flavorless and dry. Macaroni and cheese no flavor, dry. Coke slaw was mediocre. The only so so thing were the biscuits, Pepsi and iced tea. Our server was nice and offered a refund that we declined. Management needs to pay attention. Front of the house needed cleaned up. Staff were playing around in the back which speaks to the condition of the food, and the tables not being in good order. Won’t be back that is for certain.

I’ve bought the number three meal here several times and each time it has been better than before! I usually get the gizzards only although I e had the livers too, both are superb. If you eat here I guarantee you won’t be hungry after and the prices can’t be beat. If you’re not eating here, why the hell not?!

Wonderful chicken livers. One of very few places in the country that still serve them, Iron vit A, B, B12. Try them and you will start to crave them as your body wants more for your health. Especially women on monthly basis!
