Been here three weekends in a row and it hasn’t missed once. This is one of those legit hole-in-the-wall spots that just flat-out delivers. The biscuits and gravy are the real deal, and The Pile (biscuits and gravy, hash browns, egg, and your choice of meat) is exactly the kind of hearty, no-nonsense breakfast you hope for when you walk into a place like this.
I’ve also worked through cheese balls, the Reuben and the tenderloin on different visits—both were solid and worth ordering again. Nothing fancy or overhyped here, just good, honest bar-and-grill food done right.
Service has been consistently great every time I’ve come in. The waitress is attentive, refills never run dry, and the whole place has that comfortable, neighborhood feel where you can settle in and enjoy your meal. If you’re looking for a low-key spot with dependable comfort food and friendly service, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

Stopped here for breakfast before a day of roadtripping. Food and staff were both great. I had the Pile and she had pancakes. They were pretty good, no complaints. Would definitely return.

It was pretty empty when I arrived with my father so the service was fast but we did enter at a lull time. The food wasn’t anything I’d brag about but was much better than any fast food. The waitress was great, very friendly and attentive. So a good place to go for casual dining.

My daughter and I walked in grabbed a booth and sat there 20 mins. The bartender and waitress seen us come in and completely ignored us. After 20 mins we got up and left. They were the rudest people we’ve seen and. No one spoke even coming in or when we left. Not very professional at all. We had planned to eat and have drinks but left due to no service. So we went to Colorado and spent our 100 bucks! Will not recommend to anyon

Welp… drove over from FtDodge… to a closed place… Monday Nov 3rd… all the lights out. Not a soul in sight. Not sure if something came up? And they had to close for the day/night or if new winterhours… but the interweb says they are open. Not that Boone is far away… but then again, gas isn’t cheap.
When, if, the wife & i ever go back… maybe then I’ll update the rating.

How dare you say doordash messed up our order when you guys did it was a simple order I wanted the mushroom and Swiss that I ordered from doordash then I called you and told you to add lettuce tomato and onion and instead you sent me a regular cheeseburger with lettuce tomato and onion how dare you make them pay for your mess up because you messed up get your stuff together your food isn’t that good anyway

First time here but won’t be the last. Came for a sign painting class and ordered their Supreme Pizza. Oh my gosh!! It was so good, I ate the whole 14″ pizza myself (half that night and half the next day), I DID NOT SHARE! My friend got the Tenderloin and she’s a tenderloin expert as she eats them all over Iowa and she said this was THE BEST she’s had. I can’t wait to try breakfast here!
