Giavannis Pizza in Orcutt has quickly become one of my favorite Sunshine Poker League spots. They play poker on Monday and Wednesday nights, and the vibe is exactly what our league is about — friendly people, zero ego, and plenty of laughs. Everyone there makes you feel welcome right away.
And the garlic bread? Unreal. You might come for the cards, but you’ll stay for that and the pizza. If you’re in Orcutt and want good food, good company, and a fun, relaxed poker night, Giovanni’s is the place to be on Mondays and Wednesdays.

This place has great pizza and has fresh salad. You are able to reserve an are for large groups. We had a group of about 30. Everyone had plenty to eat and drink. They have video games area to keep children occupied and big screens to watch games.

This was my first time to the all you can eat buffet at 11:30am. There were around 15 people. The buffet only had a couple of medium pizza’s, pasta was not hot. The wait between for new pizzas was long. Not impressed at all with the service. Very disappointed.

The food was great, but the atmosphere gives Chuckee Cheese vibes. I was in a childlike environment, good for kids. A lot of them were running around.

They offer a really nice lunch special that is affordable. Even though I am not able to eat much it is still worth it. Lunch buffet of pizza, pastas, garlic French bread and a drink for just $12.00
And the food is good!

So, I had been here before a long time ago, I remember they had a designated time for all you can eat pizza. But I was not impressed. Anyway, like I said, that was a long time ago. So recently, I heard a few people say this was the best pizza they ever had. Which was a surprise to me because of the past experience I had. But then I thought, well, maybe their all you can eat pizza isn’t as good as their regular pizza. So my hubby and I decided to go to this place and figure it out once and for all.
We ordered the chicken Alfredo a la Carte and a medium 3 topping pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and spicy ham.
The wait wasn’t too bad. The Alfredo came out first with garlic bread. We asked for ranch dressing, and apparently, it cost money. Which we didn’t mind paying. It just would have been nice to know while we were ordering, so we didn’t have to go up to the register again.
Alfredo was ok. Then our pizza came out. But they didn’t give us any plates, and we didn’t feel like having to go up to the register again, so we just shared the basket that they gave us for the garlic bread as a make shift plate.
The pizza was just ok, too. It was definitely better than the all you can eat pizza that I had years ago. But, if I had to come back here again, maybe I would try a sandwich or something else.

We ordered a couple of calzones. Bread, cheese, “pepperoni” and marinara sauce. It was good. Unfortunately, there was simply too little filling (cheese and pepperoni. I counted one piece of pepperoni in the calzone for which I paid 1.50) to declare this good. I basically paid for bread and sauce. So disappointing.

I ordered ravioli and waited and waited. Found out my meal was sitting on the warmer without being notified. Ended up with lukewarm ravioli, a sauce like paste and bread that was hard as bricks. Not up to their normal excellent

I had a very disappointing experience. The service was extremely poor, and the person who answered the phone was rude. She made me repeat my entire order, only to hang up on me. This is unacceptable and very frustrating as a customer.

Food was so good it was a surprise. They were busy with several large groups. However. There were several booths and small group tables available. Our food came out quickly and I liked that it was brought to the table as it came out of the oven. While we did not get our food at the same time, it was brought out hot and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is more like a casual, community pizza place and less like a restaurant. Again, food was excellent. Best meatball sandwich we’ve had in a long time.
