The atmosphere is great, the music wasn’t too loud, decor on point. Service was good. My food was lacking- the giant shrimp burrito was all filler, beans and rice with only 9 shrimp, the fajitas had no flavor and were greasy. However there hot salsa was good. The regular salsa that comes with chips is slightly sweet but we asked for hot salsa and it was very good.

Could not believe you can find authentic molcajete in Gillette! Truly a hidden gem!
We recommend the Frida’s molcajete,though we wish there were more tortillas given with the dish. This dish has a steak, chicken, vegetables, and cheeses stewed in a spicy sauce and eaten with tortillas!

This place is pretty good it’s not the best in town from this visit but the chips and salsa are really good I can say it’s the best salsa in my opinion in town. And the service is really good and the people are very friendly. My trees never got too low and I always had someone checking to make sure I was not needing anything and once the food came out someone came that was not my waitress to see how my food was. So this place is a must visit. I had the number 15 I will be going back to try other dishes to see how they compare to other restaurants!!!! On my second visit I tried the tacos they are a must try and so is the guacamole !!!

The food was good and it was filling. The five star rating is mostly for the service. We had a great server who was super polite and attentive. I was sad they did not have flan that day because that is usually how I judge a Mexican food place is by the quality of the flan, but the meal was still delightful and flavorful. I enjoyed that they had more options than just the usual burrito, chimi, tamale, and tacos. The molcajete was delicious and the first time I had seen anything like that on the menu.

Was recommended by locals and it did not dissapoint. Spice was present not hot. Queso sauce on burrito rich and cheesy and took a nice bubble and brown under their broiler. Generous size at a good price.

Absolutely amazing Mexican restaurant! I’ve tried to get my fix many times across SD, WY & MT with no success. Most restaurants are bland and boring, with much of their food tasting like it was out of a can. That is NOT the case with Frida’s. Everything was incredibly fresh. The tortillas, salsa, hot sauce… all homemade. The restaurant itself was exceptionally clean. The bathroom smelled like a pool (in a good, properly sanitized kinda way) and tables were cleaned within two minutes of other guests’ departure. My server was incredibly attentive to my needs and checked in frequently. If only there was a location in Rapid City, I would be there weekly. With a two hour drive, I would still consider making a trip every couple of months just to eat here. Do us all a favor and support this establishment. We need amazing places like this to stick around out here on the prairie.
