The JOLLOF RICE??? OH. MY. GOD. Perfectly smoky, that legendary party-jollof char, spiced to PERFECTION—not greasy, just pure magic! Paired it with the grilled peppered fish platter and I’m still dreaming about it: flaky fish exploding with spice, crispy fried plantains that melt in your mouth, fresh coleslaw, and that zesty sauce that ties it all together like a boss. PORTIONS SO MASSIVE I ate like a king and had leftovers for days!!!
Then I hit the BEEF SUYA—thin slices marinated in secret spices, grilled to smoky perfection, loaded with onions, tomatoes, and cucumber. NUTTY, SPICY KICK that had me sweating and smiling!!! ️ Everything halal, super fresh, made with LOVE.
Staff? Like family—incredibly friendly, quick service, chatting and hyping your order. Spot is clean, cozy vibes (even if it’s small), prices are an absolute STEAL ($10-15 for platters that DESTROY fancy chains), and parking is easy-peasy.
If you’re in Park Heights, Pimlico, or anywhere in Bmore—SKIP the overpriced downtown spots!!! This is where the real locals feast. I’m already addicted… next visit: ASUN ALL THE WAY!!! Baltimore, we NEEDED this gem!!! #JollofKings #NaijaFire #BaltimoreEats #WestAfricanBmore #PaparazziGrillOrBust #FoodgasmAlert
Like a African people it sound like a ai make it sound like a Nigeria people
Also, if you happen to be congested but would still like to have something flavorful, their jollof rice and it’s spices are definitely the answer for that problem
Side Note: my food choice was a platter that came with peppered fish w/jollof rice and a side of plantain. I also bought a separate side of Plantain because I didn’t know beforehand that the platter already had plantain included, but I was glad I did because my platter came with so much rice to save for later and I’ll have more plantain on the side to go with it
The Bad: They only except cards no cash. I do thank them for making the exception since I travel a long way.
The Ugly: While the Turkey wing was so Flavorful it ruined the experience because it was cold. But not warm, because of my travel but cold as it was stored in a refrigerator or maybe even a freezer. It’s was warm on the outside but the core and around the bone was refrigerator cold. This is not acceptable, I am not sure if I will try it again.
The plantains were dried out like they could have been reheated as well.
So i visited them yesterday and i’m so happy i did! I cook so i set the bar very high for Nigerian chefs. This restaurant right here exceeded my expectations! The food was tasty and the flavor was authentic Nigerian flavor.
I got to the restaurant in the evening so they were out of a lot of dishes, but they still had enough to give their food a 4.85/5! I reserve 5/5 for my Mum’s cooking 😀
The meat pie was well seasoned but not too spicy, the filling was moist, the crust was flaky. The contrast in textures between the filling and flaky crust was just right!
I also had beef suya and jollof rice and that dish was also perfect! My tastebuds did a happy dance.
I had the peppered snails too and that also tasted suberb!
Finally, the customer service was like that of a 5 star restaurant. The chef i spoke to over the phone was polite, considerate and patient. I give the customer service 5 stars out of 5!
I highly recommend this restaurant and i will be a regular customer. Btw, it’s a take out only restaurant so you can’t eat there.
