Recalled seeing this place when heading to a bird walk a couple years back. Finally made it inside today. Delicious!! Friendly, quiet at that time, Thursday 1pm’ish, with a handful of folks having lunch at the very spacious bar.
Menu overwhelms with a scrumptious offerings of every kind of comfort food imaginable! It happened to be wing day so we got a dozen of the rootbeer sauce because, we’d never seen so had to try!! Appreciate our server (turned out to be the owner) not only described the wing sauce but mentioned as they are fresh made they would take about 25 minutes. Not sure they did, we were enjoying looking at Lake Como, trying to decide if it was frozen through (doubtful).
My Mom got the Byrce, mac&cheese, delicious and large enough that she is enjoying the leftovers for dinner! After kindly answering my dozen or so questions, I was hungry & indecisive, I got one of the best burgers of my life! It’s not even on the menu! Topped with a suculent spicy (bacon?) jam, bacon, jalapeños, LTO & cheese, it was cooked to medium rare perfection & the bun was grilled so as to sop up all the juices. Jam? On a burger? Just order it and thank me, them, later!!
Our third ordered the perogis which turned out to be covered in minced garlic, not onions, she’s a fan so all good. All came with fries which were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside.
Can’t wait to return to this family run off the beaten path slice of comfort food heaven!

Now this is an out of the way local kinda place…but the staff is Super friendly. The food was rather good and service was good despite only 2 gals working out front and maybe two in the kitchen they did their best to keep everyone happy. Our food came out after a pretty long wait and it was Hot. My brother’s drink was forgotten for a while, but when I told the gal waiting…she was mortified. She made it on the spot. I should probably be giving them 4 on the service…but rest assured I Would go there again.

Great place!! We had the (cordon) blue balls, fried pickles and wings to start, delicious!! They had a speedy chicken club sandwich special that was amazing they really know how to cook chicken. Service was fast and friendly. Really impressed since there isn’t much of anything else in the area. Definitely will be returning when I’m back in town.

First time visit to the watering hole! Lack of staff in the kitchen we were told. Went for the 12 for $12 wings. Waited one hour for wings and a burger. Wings were phenomenal (Medium), burger was subpar, the fries were soaked in grease and soggy. Bartender was friendly and made things right with not charging us for a few beverages. Wasn’t the best experience food wise. But, i would come back for drinks and the vibes. I also liked the environment and location on the water. Maybe a visit in the summer will seal the deal next time!

Typical bar food. The view makes up for the average food. The front door sticks, so we thought the place was closed. There are no signs that point to which door or where you’re supposed to enter. It was very tricky getting into the place, as we ended up going around back and going through the back door. Regardless, we’ll return. The setting is beautiful!!

First and last time we will be going to this establishment. Over an hour and half for food. Yes they had a full bar but didn’t see many of them eating. Poor service.. i would have canceled the food but I already paid. Ended up getting our food for take out because we had to go. Very sad because I heard great things but clearly it’s not a very well run establishment.

Food was very good enjoyed the seasoned mixed veggies, broiled fish was good. 1st people in dinning room & still took 45 minutes to get appetizers. Would go back for food & deck is nice
