Very well known and a must visit. You can eat outside or inside, there is access to the beach and rocking chairs that face the water. Great food, the atmosphere was right up my alley! The water tasted like from the tap, but I was able to order bottled water. We ate around 2pm and we had no problem finding parking. Prices were not bad at all!

The Mucky Duck appears to be permanently closed. There are now huge sand dunes along the coastline, and you can no longer see the water from the homes.

Great beachside vibe. We sat at tables with wait staff on the patio. Apparently they also have picnic tables in the sand for people who order inside and then have names called to get food. There’s also a bar on the patio.
Our server was very friendly and attentive. They had some local Florida brews on tap which was nice. We had four people in our party and two people ordered salads and two people ordered fish and chips. The salad was fresh and the fish and chips were fine. The shrimp bisque was very good!
Parking: there is a small parking lot and they are very diligent about watching where people park; they do not want you parking for the beach in their Restaurant parking lot. Our group chose to park at a parking lot at the end of the road and then walked the beach back to the restaurant ( 3 minute walk).

Everything about our visit to Mucky Duck turned out great. They have a great location with a marvelous view of the Gulf of Mexico and serve up great meals that the whole family loved. Their crunchy grouper sandwich and seafood pastas from the Specials Board today were excellent. We were concerned when we pulled in about finding parking, but there was an attendant whose job was to keep the non-customers from using their lot and showed me a place I could park that I would have assumed was too small because it was on the end. Parking border the beach itself, so without the attendant, beachgoers may try parking here. My car fit, so we parked and went in. The inside was small too but we got a table without waiting. We ordered and were served by a friendly and efficient waitress. She checked in with us frequently as we dined and kept our drinks filled. A tip for those who visit that are taller than 6’2 or so – Watch Your Head while walking through the place, many ceilings are very low for tall folk! Also, check out the place’s history by looking at the walls, ceiling and menu, and find the reason some call it the Lucky Duck. It’s a remarkable story. We plan to return to Mucky Duck. It seems to be the type of place where everything on the menu is really good.

Restaurant is in the best spot to catch the beautiful beach sunset! They have both indoor and outdoor dining. Staff were super friendly. Food was good and their rum punch is pretty tasty! Parking can be tough as their parking lot fills up but they do offer a parking attendant that offers assistance. Definitely add this to your dining spots if you are in the area!

Love this spot. Overlooks a beautiful beach you can swim at. Has outdoor seating that’s self service, so you don’t have to wait. Expect a wait for indoor service &/or make a reservation. Also parking is awful here, it’s very small & always backed up. Get dropped off if you can! Fun & quirky place with good food & usually good service.

We lunch here every time we visit the island. The fish and chips is a classic. It’s very good. It’s maybe not particularly special but it’s a comfort. The grouper sandwich is always very good. The burgers are a great option. Great views of the beach. The house sauce is delicious. Stop in and have a drink and a meal. It’s worth the time.

Cool place with cool vibes and fantastic beach side setting. Fairly pricey for the quality of food. One very odd thing was that the waiters don’t serve water. It is self serve out of a container into small throw away cups. I would go back because of the atmosphere but the water thing sucks!

This is our favorite place to go to anytime we’re in town. Unfortunately, it was ravaged by hurricane Ian, but rumors say it’s gonna be open again soon next year. We are waiting excited to enjoy oysters on the beach. We’ve seen dolphins here in the past. It’s just a magical place. And the food is delicious.

Great place for lunch! Outdoor & indoor seating, but preferred outside because of the views, the breeze and the atmosphere. Drinks you get yourself at the bar (there is one inside and outside), parking is limited so come early and food was good! When you have a place with such a great location, sometimes the food can be subpar but they get away with it because of where they are. This is not that place. I can only speak to the lunches, but it’s always enjoyable. Yes, it is a little touristy because of its location, but not to an annoying degree like some places can get. Highly recommend this stop, it is always on our list of places to hit while we’re on the islands!
