The food wasn’t bad but I ordered a jumbo margarita with Patron ($18) and it tasted like nothing but syrup! I had to order a $10 shot of Patron to add to it just to make it resemble a margarita. So basically a $12 dollar meal with 2 margaritas totalled $84. Note to self: take a personal stash of tequila next time

Service was good and waiters were friendly and efficient. Food was also really good. The queso dip is a bit too runny but still delicious. I’d go back again for sure.

came here with my family last week to celebrate my nine year old brothers birthday. food was really good, however one of the employees named ricardo would not stop making eyes at me. he was walking past and staring at me or coming to the table to refill our drinks and ONLY looking at me (he was not our server) and he was even peering and making eyes at me from above my family booth! it made me super uncomfortable and this is not the first time he has done this. if you are a teenage girl going here please be aware that you will be stared at even if you are with your nine year old brother and your mother. food was really good as always but once again i was super uncomfortable.

Had lunch with my family at Los Zarapes. The Carne asada tacos were grilled just right, moist, cut into smaller pieces and had wonderful flavor. The shrimp plater and fish tacos were awesome as well. Their horchata ( rice water) is one of the best I have ever had. Must try it. Service was very good and the waiter explained everything on the menu. So, if your o. MAHOMET,IL… stop by at Los Zarapes.

I love this place. Staff is amazing, food is excellent and their blue raspberry frozen margaritas are absolutely delicious. My family has been going here for years and we’ve never had a bad experience.

I was hit with a serious craving for Mexican on a busy weekend, but the thought of going out wasn’t appealing. So I decided to try the online ordering from Los Zarapes—and oh boy, the process was smoother than a cool margarita on a hot day! (From their Facebook page)
I went to pick up my order and, miraculously, everything was hot and ready. Normally, I wouldn’t expect a 20-minute drive to keep my food sizzling, but to my amazement, it arrived as fresh and warm as if it had just stepped out of the kitchen!
I went all in on the Acapulco Special—a fiesta on a plate! Picture this: juicy steak, tender chicken, and succulent shrimp, all mingling with crisp bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes, lathered in a dreamy cheese dip. And that wasn’t all—it came with a chicken enchilada, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. Every bite was a burst of perfectly seasoned, delicious flavors that had my taste buds dancing with joy!
The take-out was packaged so well it felt like unwrapping a small present from family. Speaking of family, Los Zarapes is truly a local treasure run by a fantastic family with several extended family locations around the area. It’s always a treat when their food graces our table at home!
I’m already planning my next order—this spot definitely knows how to bring the fiesta home!
